Another great City of South Daytona - Government drainage improvement!!! Keep up the great work, the residents truly appreciate all the improvements.

The City is committed to enhancing its stormwater system to better manage flooding events.

The Melodie Park Stormwater Pond excavation has started back up now that school is out. Large dump trucks will be rolling in to remove excavated material from the pond so be alert when travelling along Kenilworth Avenue and Oriole Lane.

We will be providing updates to our residents via Facebook and on our website to keep you informed of our progress. We have both large and small-scale improvement projects that we will be completing in our residential neighborhoods so stay tuned.

Drewry Site Development has officially kicked off work on the new stormwater pond for the City of South Daytona—an important project focused on improving drainage for the Oriole Lane and Kenilworth Avenue area.

This is more than just excavation. It’s the first phase of a long-term improvement that will help better manage stormwater, especially during major weather events, while also creating a space the community can enjoy.

Once complete, the area will include a boardwalk, seating, and restored features that recognize the City’s history—including a Veterans monument and 75th anniversary time capsule.

Drewry Site Development has officially begun work on the excavation of a new stormwater pond designed to improve drainage in the Oriole Lane and Kenilworth Avenue area.

This marks the first phase of a transformative project for the park. Once complete, the enhancements will feature a scenic wooden boardwalk surrounding the pond, a relaxing sitting area, and a beautifully restored bicentennial rock alongside a granite Veterans monument. The project will also include a special time capsule commemorating our 75th anniversary.
