A family built/owned business providing a variety of gardening and landscape products and services to meet the needs for the individual and local business communities. Owner Douglas Strohmer celebrated the groundbreaking ceremonies of his dream Garden Center in March of 2021. In July 2024, he was able to begin serving the public and providing products to see their dream gardens come true!

Salem Gardens will be at Lockwood Market this Thursday, September 10th from 3:30–7:00 PM!

We’ll have some of our favorite fall goodies with us, including beautiful mums, pumpkins & gourds, perfect for adding a little autumn charm to your home! 🍂🧡🌼

There will be lots of wonderful local vendors, handmade goods, fresh produce, baked goods, jams and more! Come enjoy an evening of shopping local and supporting small businesses.

There’s still plenty of color happening at Salem Gardens! Our outdoor annuals, perennials, flowering bushes, trees and shrubs are still in full bloom and ready to find a home in your landscape.

Late summer and early fall are actually a great time to start planning and planting! Getting your perennials, trees and shrubs in the ground now gives them time to establish their roots before Michigan winter, so they’ll be settled in and ready to take off next spring!
