The Portland Hearts of Pine crowd got a little louder last weekend! ⚽ Over 90 Sebago Technics employee-owners, family, and friends packed into the stands to cheer on the team. It's always more fun when it's this many of your favorite people in one place. The scoreboard didn't go our way, but you couldn't tell from all the smiles. Great night, great people, here's to the next one! ♥️🌲

As an employee-owned company, we believe the best ideas come from our own people. Our four teams, Sebago Way, Safety, Philanthropy, and Training, have always been part of how we do things here, each one focused on strengthening a different part of the experience of working at Sebago.

Meet our Safety Team. They carry one of the most important responsibilities: looking out for every one of us. They champion a strong safety culture, help build and improve our safety practices, and make sure each person has the resources and support to work safely, every day, on every project.

Led by Chair Ryan Arsenault, with Alex Jakubowski, Aaron Radziucz, Jeff Broumas, and Terry Bennett.

Stay tuned, we'll be highlighting the rest of our teams here over the next few weeks!

We had a little help on-site out on Rt 117 in Hiram. 🐄

Our survey crew was tying a string of pins into a larger parcel, and one happened to land in the middle of a pasture with goats, chickens, geese, ducks, horses, and cows. This calf took a particular interest in the instrument setup and stuck around for the whole time.

Fieldwork in Maine means all kinds of site conditions!

We had a great time at the 26th Annual Knapp Morrison Scholarship Scramble, hosted by the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Central Maine Community College.

We spent the day on the course connecting with local business leaders, all in support of scholarships that help Maine students pursue higher education. As a hole sponsor, it's always good to be part of an event that gives back.

Thanks to our friends Jon and Joey from Great Falls Construction for joining our team and making it a fun day! ⛳

We're excited to officially welcome back two former interns to our team full-time!

Akhil Rajesh Goud Pachimatla wrapped up a co-op with us last winter, finished his degree at the Roux Institute at Northeastern University, and has now returned as a Civil Engineer. He brings a great mix of construction management knowledge and a design-minded approach to how he tackles projects.

Dylan Shields has joined our Bridgton office as a Civil Engineer, the same office where he interned with us for two summers. He graduated from the University of Maine this May, took a well-deserved summer off, and now he's back and diving in full-time. He also just passed his FE exam, so a big congrats to our newest EI!

Welcome back, Akhil and Dylan! Excited to see your careers grow right here at Sebago.

Please join us in congratulating Jim Seymour, PE, and Shaun Leeper on their new roles!

James Seymour is now Director of Regional Operations. With more than three decades of civil engineering experience, Jim oversees our Sanford, Bridgton, and Brunswick offices while continuing to guide engineering, planning, and development review services for our municipal clients.

Shaun Leeper is now Director of Information Systems, continuing to lead the technology infrastructure and cybersecurity strategy that keeps Sebago running smoothly and safely across the region.

Congrats to you both! We're proud to have your leadership guiding us forward! 👏

There's nothing quite like seeing a project come to life the way this one did. Cape Elizabeth recently celebrated the grand opening of its new basketball court, and Sebago Technics provided survey services and lead the design and permitting for the project. But what stuck with us most was the community that showed up for it. Kids running drills, a 3v3 tournament packing the space from morning to afternoon, families cheering from the sidelines. It was the kind of day that makes this work worth it.

The timing couldn't have been better. With construction starting on the nearby middle school project, the Town's other outdoor court is being demolished and won't be replaced for a while. Cape Elizabeth needed this space, and now they have a place they can be proud of.

Projects like this are proof that "small" doesn't mean small impact. Lines on a site plan turn into a place where people actually gather, and seeing that happen never gets old.

Huge congrats to our team who made it happen. Congrats, Cape Hoops! 🏀

Our summer interns officially wrapped up their time with us, and it already feels like the summer flew by way too fast. Noah Kennedy, Camdyn Waterman, Shannon Austin, Aidan Heath, Darren Janicke, and Matthew Poisson each walked us through what they'd been working on at their final presentations, and it was pretty cool to see how much ground they covered since day one. They dug into real projects, picked up new skills, and by the end of it, you could tell how much they'd grown just from the way they talked about their own work.

None of that happens without the people behind the scenes. Big thanks to their mentors and supervisors for showing them the ropes and answering questions along the way, and to our HR Team for keeping everything running smoothly all summer.

Nice work, everyone. Watching you grow over the summer has been one of the best parts of our year, and we can't wait to see where you all go next. Come back and visit!
