We are excited to welcome our 2026 Summer Interns to Dome!

Each year, our internship program is intentionally designed to give students real exposure to our projects, our teams, and how we build. From day one, interns are immersed in both field and office operations, gaining hands-on experience that helps bring the construction process to life.

Throughout the summer, interns participate in our Internship University sessions, where they dive into topics like drawings, RFIs, submittals, and project ex*****on, while also building skills in goal setting, communication, and relationship building. They’ll learn directly from our teams, spend time on jobsites, and collaborate with mentors who are invested in their growth.

Along the way, they’ll also take part in unique experiences that bring the group together, from orientation and team events to their final presentations at the end of the program.

At Dome, our goal is to create an experience that is meaningful, hands-on, and memorable, while building a strong foundation for future careers in construction.

We’re looking forward to a great summer and are excited to see the impact this group will make.

Welcome to the team.

Dome was honored to welcome Congresswoman Lateefah Simon (D-CA-12) to the UCSF MLK Jr. Way Building in Oakland, where our team is proud to be building the future of biomedical research.

Our project team, Clinton Parra, Superintendent; Spencer Dobbins, Project Manager; Dat Huynh, PE; and Tim Cadenasso, Director, led the Congresswoman on a tour of the space, sharing how the facility will support advanced cytometry, microscopy, molecular biology, and spectrometry research for UCSF and the broader scientific community.

Dome's dedicated PM Spencer Dobbins shared during the visit, "We are proud of the work we do with UCSF, and we're excited to be a part of advancing the research that supports UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital." Echoing that sentiment, Eric Larsen, Sr. Project Manager at UCSF Real Estate, noted that "Dome has been a great partner, leading the challenging construction of a thoroughly modern research facility in this beautiful, historic building."

Congresswoman Simon's visit highlighted the impact of federal Community Project Funding, including $1 million secured for the Pediatric Blood Disorder Research Center at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, an investment in life-saving research for conditions like sickle cell disease, leukemia, and thalassemia.

We're grateful for the opportunity to build spaces where this kind of work happens!

We’re officially underway on 8k SF of lobby and elevator lobby improvements at Longfellow’s Icona project in San Francisco.

This scope is all about elevating the tenant and visit experience with new finishes, lighting, and architectural details that completely reset the first impression of the space!

Grateful to be working alongside KKR, Longfellow Real Estate Partners, FORGE, and Syska Hennessy on this one.

More to come as it starts taking shape.

Stay tuned! This one’s going to look amazing

Congratulations to Sean Campbell on his promotion to Assistant Project Manager.

Sean has been a valued member of the team for 12 years, contributing to the success of our life science projects across Northern and Southern California. His steady approach and strong attention to detail, along with his drive to fully understand drawings and specifications, have made him a reliable presence on complex, fast paced work. His curiosity and willingness to dig into challenges continue to make a meaningful impact across our teams.

Throughout his time with the company, Sean has supported a wide range of projects, delivering high quality results while building strong relationships with teams and clients. He consistently steps up when needed, going out of his way to support the team and the company, and that dedication is greatly appreciated.

Sean’s promotion reflects both the hard work he has put in and the trust we have in his ability to take on greater responsibility. This is a well deserved and long overdue recognition of his contributions.

We can’t wait to see where this next step takes Sean.

The Dome Construction Foundation was proud to sponsor the Purpose Built Headstrong Golf Tournament, an event that reminded us that true strength isn't just measured by what we build, but by how we support one another.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit Runestone Ranch, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting first responders and their families through proactive mental health education, peer connection, and resilience training.

One of the most impactful moments of the day came from hearing Jimmy Queen share his story. A former tradesman and advocate featured in Purpose Built's Headstrong campaign, Jimmy spoke candidly about his battle with addiction, the pressures of the "tough it out" mentality, and the journey that led him to recovery. His message resonated deeply: asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, it's an act of courage. By sharing his experience, he's helping break down the stigma surrounding mental health in the construction industry and beyond.

The construction industry is built on grit, resilience, and hard work. Events like this remind us that looking out for our mental well-being and for each other is just as important as any job we complete.

We're honored to support Purpose Built, Runestone Ranch, and the individuals who are leading these critical conversations and creating lasting change. Together, we're helping build a stronger, healthier future for our communities.

🦺 Safety First! 🦺
We're proud to have hosted our FIRST Safety Open House at our Dome San Diego office! 🎉
We had the pleasure of hosting our trade partners for a morning of connection and learning, fueled by breakfast and packed with hands-on demos from GPRS and 3M Fall Protection. We got up close with 3M's latest harnesses, lanyards, and anchor systems: the kind of equipment that doesn't just meet code, it saves lives. Then GPRS walked us through four of their advanced scanning and imaging tools used to locate buried utilities and subsurface hazards before they become costly, or dangerous, surprises. Investing in knowledge, safety, and partnerships that make every job site better: that's how we do it right. 💪

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. The freedoms we enjoy, and the opportunities we have to grow and serve our communities, come at an extraordinary cost paid by generations of brave service members and their families.

This Memorial Day, the Dome Construction family honors those who never made it home, whose sacrifice made possible every freedom, every opportunity, and every moment we share with the people we love.

From all of us at Dome Construction, we are deeply grateful. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.
