One of the three organizations benefiting from this year's Dome Construction Foundation Golf Tournament is Build California, a comprehensive workforce development program created to inspire, engage, and activate the next generation of California's construction workforce. The initiative is led by the Associated General Contractors of California through the AGC Construction Education Foundation, bringing together a coalition of contractors and industry partners around a shared goal.
Build California works to change the way young people see the trades, moving past outdated stereotypes and showing construction for what it really is: a stable, rewarding, and often overlooked career path. Through marketing campaigns, school presentations, and grassroots outreach, the program has engaged tens of thousands of students statewide, connecting them to training pathways and real industry employers.
The funds raised at this year's tournament helps fuel work like this, building clear pathways, breaking down barriers to opportunity, and helping young people see themselves in construction.
