This week felt like a whole season packed into five days 😂
We started out Monday pretending we were professional landscapers on a mission to beat the rain — and the rain barely lost. Tuesday was one of those days where you run errands, do quotes, and somehow forget what day it is three separate times.
By Wednesday morning, I was out volunteering and helping cook turkeys… and after about the sixth fryer kicked on, I decided one thing for sure: if I never smell another fried turkey again, I might actually live a longer, happier life 🤣 I came home smelling like Thanksgiving and a county fair.
Thanksgiving morning was my favorite part, though — cooking breakfast with Carson and Erica. They’ve reached that age where they “help,” but somehow I’m the one dodging flying bacon and the smoke alarm is questioning its life choices.
And then the big family Thanksgiving… loud, chaotic, food everywhere, kids everywhere, dogs everywhere — the kind of night where you look around and think, “Yep… this is what it’s all about.”
Today has been nothing but football, leftovers, and trying to convince myself that eating stuffing for the third time in 24 hours is still a good decision 🤣
Everybody celebrates this weekend a little different —
Some shop.
Some nap.
Some eat again just because the fridge light came on.
What’s your favorite after-Thanksgiving tradition?
