Last week was full, messy, and productive — and that’s exactly how we like it.

Saturday we celebrated Payton turning 7 with a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese 🥳
Sunday was all about church and resetting for the week.
Monday we tore out the old trailer floor and laid down brand-new wood to keep things solid.
Tuesday and Wednesday were leaf cleanups back-to-back 🍂 — with a curveball when equipment broke… which turned into an upgrade to a new leaf sweeper, so still a win.
Thursday we wrapped up more leaf cleanups.
Friday and Saturday morning we tackled a massive leaf cleanup, partnering with Apex Lawns to knock it out efficiently and finish the week strong 💪🍂

Somewhere in the middle of all that, Dustin and I squeezed in a spur-of-the-moment date — one of the perks of working for ourselves ❤️
And because real life doesn’t pause for business… a septic tank overflow led to Dustin taking a very cold outdoor shower 🥶😂 (not planned, but handled).

Not every week is flashy — but they all matter. Grateful for the work, the growth, the partnerships, and the people we get to serve.

Even though he's going to kill us for tagging him, let's not forget Brandon Noe for helping us fix the trailer (It was TOUGH)!

Another leaf cleanup in the books today. Front and back were completely covered when we started, but everything is cleared out, beds blown clean, and all the leaves were vacuumed and hauled off. The yard feels refreshed again just in time for the season.

Another week in the books with plenty of highs, lows, and everything in between. Saturday was Luke’s fifth birthday, and Billy thought it’d be funny to smear icing all over his face — so uncle mode kicked in and things were evened out pretty quick. The kids were cracking up, and honestly the adults were too.

Sunday’s plan was a simple trip to the lake beds with the dogs, but that shifted fast once the F-250 blew a brake line and had to be towed out of the mud. Just one of those days.

Monday kicked off Day 1 of the 24 Advent Days with Christmas at Compel, and the kids were all in from the start. That night we introduced them to Dixie Queen for the first time and somehow that small moment ended up being one of their favorite ones.

Tuesday brought home our new-to-us 35-ton log splitter. Wednesday was spent splitting firewood and knocking out odds and ends. Thursday turned into an errand day thanks to nonstop rain. And today was all about cleaning out the storage unit/shop and picking out our Christmas tree — plenty of mud, plenty of walking, but we finally found the one that felt right.

A messy week, a fun week, a productive week — nothing perfect, but all of it real.

Some beds just need a little love — and this one finally got it.
We pulled out the dead growth, reshaped the edges, cleaned everything up, and brought the whole space back to life. It’s crazy how much a clean bed can change the look of the entire front of the home.

Sometimes it isn’t about a full redesign… it’s just giving your landscape the attention it’s been needing.

If your flower beds are looking tired, overgrown, or just “blah,” we can get you cleaned up and ready for winter.

This week felt like a whole season packed into five days 😂

We started out Monday pretending we were professional landscapers on a mission to beat the rain — and the rain barely lost. Tuesday was one of those days where you run errands, do quotes, and somehow forget what day it is three separate times.

By Wednesday morning, I was out volunteering and helping cook turkeys… and after about the sixth fryer kicked on, I decided one thing for sure: if I never smell another fried turkey again, I might actually live a longer, happier life 🤣 I came home smelling like Thanksgiving and a county fair.

Thanksgiving morning was my favorite part, though — cooking breakfast with Carson and Erica. They’ve reached that age where they “help,” but somehow I’m the one dodging flying bacon and the smoke alarm is questioning its life choices.

And then the big family Thanksgiving… loud, chaotic, food everywhere, kids everywhere, dogs everywhere — the kind of night where you look around and think, “Yep… this is what it’s all about.”

Today has been nothing but football, leftovers, and trying to convince myself that eating stuffing for the third time in 24 hours is still a good decision 🤣

Everybody celebrates this weekend a little different —
Some shop.
Some nap.
Some eat again just because the fridge light came on.

What’s your favorite after-Thanksgiving tradition?

You ever buy something thinking, “Yeah… I’ll knock that out in a couple hours this weekend,”
…and then it sits in the box so long it basically becomes yard décor?

That was this 8×10 metal shed — about 4,000 tiny screws, 200 panels, and a whole lot of “where does this piece go?” energy. So instead of wrestling with it themselves, the homeowner called us in, and we knocked it out, and got it standing solid and clean.

And yes… my little helper was on the crew. Pretty sure he handed me screws faster than the shed manufacturer intended.

If you’ve got a “weekend project” that’s been waiting on the right weekend since 2022, let us take the load off your hands. We’ll put it together, set it up right, and save you the headache.
