Some buildings tell a story.

Built in 1899, 21 Boston Road has been part of Southborough’s history for over 125 years. Located across from the historic railroad depot, this property once housed the C.B. Sawin & Son Grist Mill and Grain Store, serving the agricultural community that helped shape the town we know today.

Today, this historic building has been given new life as a renovated mixed-use commercial space—and we’re proud to call it home.

At Harvey Home Modifications, we help homeowners throughout MetroWest and Greater Boston create safer, more accessible homes through aging-in-place remodeling, home additions, ADUs, accessible bathrooms, and whole-home renovations. While our work focuses on the future, we’re grateful to operate from a building with such deep roots in Southborough’s past.

These pictures are before and during photos from our Wayland double-bathroom remodel project. We gutted the first floor bath and created an accessible barrier free shower that is prepared for future wheelchair access. We also took a second floor utility/guest room and created a large full bathroom.

This project ensures the family’s accessibility, safety, and independence now and in the future. At Harvey Home Modifications we specialize in crafting homes for every stage of life.

This Lexington, MA project was designed for a woman who uses a large motorized wheelchair. It features a motorized pocket door for easier access, and the shower valves and handheld showerhead are positioned on the left side so caregivers can comfortably assist during use.
