We often get calls from people that have been scammed by other contractors either financially or via improper or incomplete work.

We encourage everyone to check references and verify existing insurance coverage by asking for written proof of Workers Compensation and General Liability coverage. Since there are contractors that take out a policy (receive written proof), but fail to pay for it thus voiding the policy, we suggest phoning the agency to verify that the coverage is still good.

Also, check the State of Michigan's Licensing site to verify that the contractor that you intend to hire has a valid license for the services to be performed.

Please don't fall prey to these scam artists that give contractors a bad name. They often take your down payment and run or start a project and disappear midway through the project.

Selecting the individual or company with the cheapest price often results in poor treatment. Good contractors have a lot more expenses to cover than those that take advantage of people and businesses looking for a bargain. Licensing, proper training and insurance are not cheap. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for".

Fun Facts:

On this day (2/20) in 1997, Tri-Pups, Inc. was created. We started out as an exterior residential powerwashing and painting company serving only Oakland County.

By 1999, our company had developed into a full-service remodeler for both residential and commercial clients. We also began offering repairs and maintenance services throughout most of southeast Michigan.

During 2015 we added design-build service for our remodeling clients.

Today, our staff is smaller, than our year 2000 peak, but more efficient and delivering a higher quality of service with a strong emphasis on communication with our clients. The territory that we service has shrunk a little, but we still offer most of the same services.

It has been a thrill navigating the challenges of running a business for the past 28 years!

Fortunately, we have survived the economic roller coaster and our company is still operating, even if some of our older bodies aren't quite what they used to be!

We are still trying to find the owner of this dog. He has been posted on several lost pet pages and websites.

Found in Detroit on 8 Mile between Woodward and Livernois on Monday, 11/11/14.

Well groomed male, no microchip. Breed unknown. Some very minor injuries. Someone is definitely missing him.

Perhaps there is a Dog Groomer that recognizes this little fella.

For those of you that have never been involved in a remodeling project, this will help you understand what you are likely to experience. Sometimes there will be great, fast progress and you will be very happy. At other times, the project will seem like it is dragging out and you may fear that it will never be completed.
