Six months.

That’s how long this family had been thinking about their staircase.

Today they finally said, “We’re tired of thinking about it. We’re ready to move forward.”

So I sat down with a chicken parm sandwich from Rocco’s and took a minute to enjoy the win. 😂

People see the finished staircases. They don’t always see what happens before them.

The phone calls. The follow-ups. The questions. The design conversations. The uncertainty. Giving people space without disappearing. And sometimes staying with a family for six months while they figure out what the right decision is for their home.

I work hard at this.

Not just building staircases — but helping people feel confident enough to finally stop thinking about the project and start enjoying it.

Today, we got another one across the starting line.

And the chicken parm tasted pretty damn good. 🥪

One of the things we enjoy most is collaborating with talented designers and trade partners to bring a vision to life.

On this project, the team at House of Lauren brought us in to add custom skirt boards and detailed finish moldings to this existing staircase. While the staircase itself is being finished with carpet, these architectural details give it a much more refined, custom-built appearance.

It’s a great reminder that craftsmanship isn’t always about starting from scratch. Sometimes it’s the small details that completely transform a space.

We’re grateful to work alongside professionals who value quality, communication, and attention to detail. That’s how great projects happen.
