Progress continues at the Kalamazoo Event Center!

The 453,000 SF, multi-use arena in Kalamazoo, Michigan, will host a variety of events and serve as the new home for the Kalamazoo Wings Hockey Club and Western Michigan University student-athletes. Along with our partner, CSM Group, we're excited to build this new hub for sports and the community.

Meet Project Engineer Aleeza Moschella!

After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Construction Management, Aleeza joined Barton Malow as a Project Engineer on the Future Roper St. Francis Healthcare Hospital Campus in North Charleston, South Carolina. Her curiosity about complex systems and investment in the community make her a natural fit for the fast-paced healthcare market.

Our biggest solar footprint in Michigan's Thumb region is taking shape. ☀️

The Silver Creek Solar project is well underway, with site grading complete, piles going into the ground, and module installation now started on site. When complete, the 200 MWac/260 MWdc project will generate enough renewable energy to power approximately 50,000 Michigan homes.

Celebrating Knight Nation!

Barton Malow was proud to join the University of Central Florida for the ribbon-cutting of the Roth Tower, a milestone in the expansion of Acrisure Bounce House.

This four-level addition will transform the gameday experience, delivering more usable club space, 34 new outdoor sky suites, and expanded premium seating, making Acrisure Bounce House an even more electric home ready to bounce for years to come.

A huge thank you to our partners at UCF for their continued trust and collaboration on this project. We're proud to help shape a facility that will serve Knight Nation on gamedays and beyond!

Congratulations to our Barton Malow Boot Camp cohort on their graduation! 👏

Over the past six weeks, these five participants developed hands-on readiness for a career in the skilled trades by spending time at active jobsites across southeast Michigan, participating in professional development sessions, and gaining the experience needed to step confidently into a union apprenticeship.

Programs like this are how we invest in the next generation of builders, and we can't wait to see where they go from here!

Denison University’s Doane Hall has officially become the school's new Computer Sciences building!

Our project team recently completed additions and renovations to the 131-year-old building, including terrazzo flooring, new ceilings, and electrical finishes. Compared with standard campus facilities, the building now has substantially more audiovisual systems and data capacity to support instruction, collaboration, and evolving technology needs.

This project reflects Barton Malow's commitment to preserving architectural history while delivering modern, technology-ready spaces built for the future.

Last week, nearly 200 team members across the trades gathered for a Subcontractor Appreciation Lunch to honor their hard work enduring tough weather conditions on the job, overcoming obstacles, and celebrating the progress being made at Oakland Community College's Orchard Ridge Campus.

This building will bring Health Sciences and Nursing programs together under one roof, with new labs and modern learning spaces designed to prepare students for the workforce.

Great work to the team — we're excited for the impact this space will have on students when it opens in Fall 2027.
