Cut offs saved from the burn bin, transformed into cherry endgrain cutting boards. After an overnight mineral oil bath, I then minded my beeswax and made a mineral oil and beeswax "paste/butter" to finish the boards. This adds another antimicrobial coating but also adds a hydrophic layer to the already oil soaked board.
Simply wash with dish soap and water, let air dry. Endgrain cutting boards are naturally antimicrobial as the vertical wood fibers kill bacteria as the wood dries.
