⚠ Planned TVA Outage - Putnam County ⚠

UCEMC would like their valued members to be aware of an upcoming TVA planned outage.

TVA has announced that they scheduled a planned outage for Algood on Saturday, May 9, 2026. It will last around 6 hours, starting at 11 PM and ending at 5 AM. This outage is needed for TVA to complete necessary maintenance on their transmission line.

The following areas and communities will be affected by the outage:
Brotherton Mt, The Overlook, Falling Water Rd, Canada Flatt, Macedonia, Parragon, White Plains, Shenandoah, Stonehenge, Pinnacle View, Plantation View, Rocky Point, Part of Shady Lane, Victory View, Rolling Hills, Twin Creeks, Hyder Mountain, Lake Pointe, Poplar Grove, Mt. Pleasant, Mountain Top Ln.

The following areas and communities may be affected by the outage:
Hwy 70 East, Browns Mill, Cherry Creek, Phifer Mountain, Board Valley, White Oak Flatt, Eastlake, Sheep Bluff, Mill Creek, Stone Seminary, Hickory Flatts, Indian Hills, Hidden Cove, Mt. Herman.

TVA would like to thank all members for their patience and cooperation. This maintenance is required to ensure the continued delivery of safe, reliable power to the area.

We are looking for a concrete company for two separate projects in Sparta. One is basic site prep with an approximate 40 x 40 stamped concrete pad. (Phase one would need to be done within this month. The second phase of work is a much larger area that will need to be excavated, etc. before the work can begin.
