We are a small, local construction company that services the upstate of South Carolina. We are licensed, bonded and insured. We give FREE Estimates.

As a licensed general contractor, I am seeing ALOT of non-licensed people and specialty licensed people posting, trying to help.
Please, please, please do your homework. Your insurance WILL NOT let you deal with someone who is not licensed.

Some things to consider:

1. Document everything with pictures and have receipts ready for what was damaged of your personal items.
2. Hire a contractor that is reputable that does this every day. Know that they have licensing to do what they are trying to sell you. Many specialty roofing contractors with very limited licensing will be trying to sell you stuff. There are many levels of licensing. There is GC licensing (which most of you need) and there are dollar amounts they are allowed to perform work. There is a wide range, but someone with an unlimited GC license and unlimited roofing license can do anything that needs to be done. 3. Be patient. Most contractors are trying to help you the right way.
4. Be realistic. They pay for what you have now. Not what you want.
5. Your insurance company may not be your friend. That's why you need a contractor that knows this game to help you get what you deserve. Not all of them are bad.
6. If you do require housing assistance while your repairs are being done. Make sure it is approved before you so it.
7. Hire someone that does this all the time. Use vetted local contractors to do the work.

Please don't just blindly trust people. They will tell you they are licensed and insured and they aren't.
