Hansen Demolition & Excavating recently completed the teardown of a commercial fertilizer plant in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Our crew safely brought down the structure and sorted the materials on-site, recycling the wood and metal to reduce waste and maximize reuse. This project reflects our dedication to efficient, responsible demolition practices while helping clear the way for future development.

Last week, we completed a job in Canby, Minnesota where the soil conditions just weren’t going to cut it for a standard foundation. We were prepping for a new grain handling system next to an existing grain bin, but the ground was too soft to support the load.

To fix it, we drove sheet-pile around the bin to provide a solid base for the new foundation. Sheet-pile is great for situations like this—tight access, high loads, and poor soil conditions. Once the piling was in, we were able to find grade and construction can continue.
