🔥🌲 Wildfire Recovery: Helping Your Trees Heal 🌲🔥

Wildfires can leave trees stressed and vulnerable, but the right care can improve their chances of recovery.

✅ Water Wisely – Deep, slow watering during dry periods helps support damaged root systems and reduce stress.

✅ Mulch the Root Zone – Add 2-4 inches of organic mulch around the base of the tree, keeping it away from the trunk, to help retain moisture and regulate soil temperature.

✅ Avoid Pruning Immediately – Wait until the tree has had time to recover. Premature pruning can add more stress and make it harder for the tree to heal.

✅ Watch for Signs of Decline – Excessive needle or leaf loss, cracks in the trunk, fungal growth, or dead branches may indicate the tree needs professional attention.

✅ Be Patient – Trees often take several growing seasons to show the full effects of wildfire damage, whether they're recovering or declining.
