Oftentimes the local fire departments are not near the front of mind for most people. Yesterday was not one of those days. As an alumnus of the fire service, I couldn't be more proud of the efforts yesterday to prevent the loss of life and property. Their ability to adapt and improvise to respond to multiple fires and other incidents was very impressive. Well done to the firefighters, police, and dispatchers for managing very busy day full of unique, challenging incidents and protecting the public.
