Alright friends, I’m overdue for giving you all an update!

We closed on the sale of our home last week. It’s been a month of highs and lows, of excitement and grief, but overall, I’m surprised to say the transition for our family has been easier than I anticipated.

Some days we sat at the house wondering how much we would miss the sound of the meadowlarks or watching the sunsets every night. And certainly those things I will miss most.

Other days we had long conversations dreaming about what will come next. New chapters, new stories, new growth.

I don’t have all the answers in order to provide an update in a tidy package. So often it comes out as a jumbled mess of sharing the adventures and hopes ahead. So below is the short version.

Vibes of the week look a little like this - meeting sitting on the beautiful new hardwood floors, fabric samples scattered about, product photos scrapbook style. I’ve been working with this client for several years on their home renovation, and with that now complete, they feel ready to tackle furnishings throughout. I’m loving the moody color story that is unfolding!

A long while ago I mentioned that floor plans for my home (and soon other options as well!) were now available for purchase, but I didn’t yet have a platform for easy check out and instant downloads. After many months of letting it sit behind the scenes, I finally decided to get this set up using the tried and true Etsy marketplace that I am familiar with! You can now access the shop from my website menu, and grab your very own copy of our floor plans, with options for 3D models and editable AutoCAD files. We are so close to reaching our goal to the bathroom renovations! As record floods recede in Peru, we are getting closer to starting the project and purchasing materials to begin the repairs. A fun little update and offering!

We’ve always offered virtual consultations, but the big news is, they are now a separate service listed on our website, and we are offering them at a lower price from our regular on-site consultations! Virtual consultations save a ton of time and resources, so these will be a permanent fixture to our services page! We hope the lower price point also makes our services more accessible financially, as well as physically for those who do not live local to Spokane.

One more big thing! Since we eliminate driving time with virtual consults, I am also now offering a few select appointment times from 5:30-6:30 pm, for those of you who need an after work hours option!

New blog post! We are continuing out latest blog posts about healthier homes with this important thing to keep in mind. Knowledge is power, but stress is probably our biggest toxin.

In the 10+ years of detoxing my home (and life!), I’ve certainly gone through my fair share of the highs and lows that come along with it. The peak moments of feeling so incredible, feeling so confident and healthy and proud, to the defeating moments of feeling like this journey is impossible given our current options in this world. I’ve been through the times where I thought I had found a tox-free option, and then just a few months later, had to go back to the drawing board after new research or studies showed questionable things about a particular ingredient. We can make ourselves crazy, or we can know that perfection is unlikely, and we can do the best we can with the information we have at the time.

It’s important to know your why. And once you start learning the truth about toxins in our lives, it’s certainly hard to turn back. Guilt, shame, and stress can play a toll as we try to do better but struggle through the process. So while easier said than done, try to reduce the stress of going through this process.
