This year we planted our dahlias out earlier than we ever have. We had a lot of travel between April and May, so it left us no choice. We had two major cold snaps, which had us scared we lost dozens of tubers. Well dahlia tubers are more resilient than we give them credit for. We lost maybe one or two. This year our blooms have started a month earlier and we couldn’t be happier!
