THINKING ABOUT REPLACING YOUR ROOF? HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS FROM THE FIRST CALL TO THE FINISHED JOB.

Hi neighbors, I'm Eddie with Benoit Home Remodeling Group. These photos show different roofing projects, from exposed decking and underlayment work to completed shingle roofs.

A new roof is a big expense. Before you commit, you should know what's included, what could cost extra, and who will keep you informed.

Here's the process for a full shingle roof replacement:

1. WE START WITH A CONVERSATION
Call, text, or send me a message. Tell us your city, what concerns you about the roof, its approximate age if you know it, and your preferred timing. We'll arrange an assessment and a free estimate.

2. WE CHECK THE ROOF AND EXPLAIN YOUR OPTIONS
We assess the visible condition, take measurements, and discuss the materials and work your roof needs. Where appropriate, we'll explain repair versus replacement. Some decking problems only become visible after the old roofing comes off.

3. YOU GET THE SCOPE AND PRICE IN WRITING
The proposal explains the materials, removal and disposal, permit arrangements, included work, payment schedule, and warranty terms. It also explains any decking allowance and how additional wood replacement is priced. Gutters, fascia, solar-panel work, or other extras are identified separately when applicable.

4. WE PLAN THE JOB BEFORE REMOVING YOUR ROOF
After the agreement is signed, we arrange the required permit, materials, and installation schedule. We confirm any HOA approval needed before starting. We'll discuss property protection, driveway access, noise, pets, and the weather plan, and you'll know your project contact. The schedule accounts for the roof's condition and scope; weather, materials, and inspections can affect timing.

5. WE REMOVE THE OLD ROOFING AND CHECK THE WOOD UNDERNEATH
We remove the old shingles and underlayment, inspect the exposed decking, and address required repairs and fastening. If we find damage outside the agreed scope, we show you photos and agree on the additional work and price in writing before proceeding.

6. WE INSTALL THE NEW ROOFING SYSTEM
That means more than new shingles: underlayment, edge metal, flashing, pipe boots, ventilation, and the selected roof covering are addressed according to the agreed scope, applicable code, and manufacturer requirements. Required inspections or approved documentation are coordinated at the appropriate stages.

7. WE CLEAN UP AND COMPLETE THE CHECKS
We remove roofing debris and sweep accessible work areas with a magnet to collect loose nails. We review the completed work, address any outstanding items, and coordinate the required final building inspection. Our own quality check does not replace that inspection.

8. WE WALK YOU THROUGH THE FINISHED JOB
We review the completed work with you from the ground and through project photos. At closeout, you receive the final invoice, applicable warranty and product information, and confirmation of final inspection approval and permit closure. We explain the warranty coverage, maintenance, and who to contact with questions afterward. Payments follow the signed agreement.
