We’re opening a new office in… the Delaware/Eastern Shore Region! This area is booming, so we’re moving into the region to better support our customers.

VP David Gaines said, “It’s become clear that we need more of a physical presence to assist with the region’s rapid growth. Moving into the region not only improves our efficiency, but filters cost savings to our customers.”

Industry veteran Mike Sturdevant is leading Gaines’s operations in this area. He brings over 45 years of construction expertise to this new role.

“Up until now, there hasn’t been a large site developer like Gaines in the region,” said Mike. “But now that Gaines is here, we can offer customers the expertise, efficiency, and quality to get work done on schedule, doing it right the first time.”

Gaines and Company, a well established construction company is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant/Receptionist in our Reisterstown, MD office.
Accounts Payable Assistant Responsibilities include:
• Perform accounting and clerical functions to support Accounts Payable Specialist
• Perform filing and general administrative tasks.
• Maintain vendor files
• Other duties as needed and directed

Receptionist Responsibilities include:
• Overall office support– answering phones, greeting guests, helping new hires and existing employees with questions,
• General office support – making copies, data entry, ordering office supplies

Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma, minimum: College Degree a plus
• 1-2 years experience as an administrative assistant, secretary or receptionist preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills

Gaines and Company, a well established construction company is seeking a F/T Accounts Payable Specialist in our Reisterstown, MD office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Confirm that bills are paid in a timely fashion and actively review vendor payment history to ensure that duplicate payments are not made
• Review and upload AP invoices into the company financial database
• Match supporting documentation to AP checks
• Process, update, and mail AP checks
• Communicate with vendors and colleagues regarding payments, tracking, and resolution of discrepancies on vendor statements
• Track W-9s for each vendor
• Assist in year-end audit preparation and record
• All other financial and administrative duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 3 years' experience in accounts payable required
• Attention to detail with proven ability to process a large volume of transactions accurately preferred
• The ability to organize, prioritize and multi-tasks and take initiative and solve problems
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Communication skills (written and oral)
• Physical ability to occasionally handle some lifting of office supplies, such as receiving/moving deliveries
