August 23–29, 2026 is CVSA Brake Safety Week, and inspectors across North America will take a closer look at CMV brake systems — with special attention on brake drums and air disc brake rotors.

Before you roll, check:

➡️ Brake hoses & tubing — chafing, kinks, cracks, leaks
➡️ Pushrod travel & slack adjusters — excessive travel or improper operation
➡️ Brake linings, pads & shoes — excessive wear or damage
➡️ Drums & rotors — cracks, excessive wear or structural damage
➡️ Air system — listen for leaks and verify proper operation

Maryland Grading Foreman Brett Yohe has led his team in exporting over 125,000 cubic yards of dirt off the Meadows at Westmore project site since March.

The Gaines team is making great progress on this project in Upper Marlboro, Maryland! We anticipate moving roughly 175,000 more cubic yards of dirt, followed by other site development services, including:
• Sediment controls
• Underground utilities (sanitary sewer and water)
• Storm drain
• Storm water management
• Curb and paving

This is just the start of this 3-phase project, which we anticipate wrapping up in the Summer of 2027.
