Honcho is another ScapeGoats success story! He was- young buckling that we sold last year, and holy moly, what a beautiful yearling buck he’s turning into! He’s the spitting image of his grandpa, Jeb, with the impressive horns of his dad, Humperdinck.
We were pleasantly surprised when his owner sent us this picture today. It’s always rewarding to see our goats thriving and developing exactly the way we hoped they would in their new homes.
One of the things we focus on here is building strong genetics that produce functional, hardy, great-looking goats. Seeing young bucks like Honcho mature into animals like this is a reminder of why we put so much effort into our breeding program.
If you’re looking for a future herd sire, don’t overlook a quality buckling. Sometimes it’s hard to picture what they’ll become when they’re just a few months old, but Honcho is proof that good genetics and good management can turn a promising buckling into an impressive buck.
