Happy Labor Day from Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain. 🇺🇸

Today means a little more to us than just a long weekend.

We know what it means to work with your hands. To come home tired. To miss dinners, work in the heat, answer the phone when someone needs you, and get up the next morning and do it all over again.

We also know there are a whole lot of people in our community doing the same thing every day.

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, construction workers, first responders, teachers, nurses, small business owners—and countless others whose hard work often happens without much recognition.

Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain was built by working people, and we’re incredibly grateful for the men and women on our own team who show up every day and take pride in what they do. We’re equally grateful for the hardworking families who trust us in their homes and make it possible for us to do what we love.

So today, we simply want to say thank you.

Whatever your job may be, if you work hard to provide for your family, serve others, and make your community a little better—you deserve to be celebrated.

We hope you get some well-earned time with the people you love this Labor Day. 🇺🇸

⭐ CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT — MONTGOMERY, TX ⭐

We really appreciate reviews like this.

We know plumbing repairs aren’t always an expense anyone is excited about. Our goal is to make sure that when the job is finished, our customers feel good about the service, the work performed, and the value they received.

That’s what stood out to us about Linda’s feedback.

Thank you, Linda, for trusting Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain and for taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad we could help, and we’ll be here whenever you need us again.

Good plumbers aren’t just hired. They’re developed.

One of the things we’re most proud of at Grand Oaks is creating an environment where someone who wants to learn this trade has people around them willing to teach it.

That takes time. It takes patience. And it takes experienced plumbers who are willing to pass along what they’ve learned over their careers instead of simply handing someone a set of tools and expecting them to figure it out.

Watching members of our team grow in their knowledge, confidence and ability is one of the most rewarding parts of building this company.

Because when we invest in our people, they become better at taking care of our customers.

We’re pretty proud to hear one of our own describe what that investment has meant to him.

🔧 MONDAY PLUMBING TIP: Will That Shut-Off Valve Work When You Need It?

There are small shut-off valves underneath your sinks and behind your toilets that most homeowners probably haven’t thought about in years.

Plumbers call them angle stops, and they have an important job: they allow us to shut the water off to an individual fixture without shutting down the entire house.

The problem?

Sometimes the first time anyone discovers an old valve doesn’t work is when there’s already a leak.

We regularly find older valves that are corroded, difficult to operate, leaking, or that simply won’t completely shut the water off.

And here’s something important: we’re not suggesting you go around the house today and force every old valve to turn. If a valve has been sitting untouched for years and looks questionable, operating it can sometimes create the very leak you’re trying to prevent.

This is one of the reasons plumbing maintenance matters.

It’s not about looking for something to sell.

It’s about finding the little things — an aging shut-off valve, an old supply line, a slow drain, a small leak — before one of those little things becomes a much bigger problem.

Take a look underneath your sinks today.

Do you know how old those valves are?

Hiring a plumber isn’t just about fixing a plumbing problem.

You’re inviting someone into your home.

That’s why who we send to your door matters just as much as the work they’re there to perform.

We want our customers to feel comfortable with the person standing in their kitchen, bathroom or garage — and confident that they’re going to be treated fairly.

Charles has been part of Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain for more than five years, and this short clip says a lot about the kind of people we want representing our company.

Good work matters.

Good people matter, too. 🌳

🌳 Why Grand Oaks Plumbing & Drain?

There are plenty of plumbing companies you can call.

So why should you call us?

Sure, we’re licensed, insured and experienced—but honestly, those are things you should expect from any professional plumbing company.

We believe the difference is how we treat people.

When you invite us into your home, our goal is pretty simple:

✔️ Show up when we say we will
✔️ Listen before jumping to conclusions
✔️ Diagnose the problem instead of guessing
✔️ Explain what we find so you understand it
✔️ Give you options whenever possible
✔️ Respect your home, your time and your money
✔️ Stand behind the work we perform

And are we going to be perfect every single time? No company is.

But if we get something wrong, we’ll own it and do our best to make it right.

We’re not interested in being the plumber you call once.

We want to earn the right to be YOUR plumber—the company you already know you can call when something goes wrong.

That’s the kind of company we’re working to build every day.

One home. One customer. One relationship at a time.
