Many backups in your floor drains might actually be a result of problems that started much farther upstream. Food solids washed down dish sinks, prep sinks, bar sinks, and garbage disposals can travel through your plumbing system, combine with grease, and eventually create a blockage that shows up at the floor drain.

Our solid separator prevents food solids from clogging commercial kitchen floor drains while still allowing your sinks to drain quickly.

A recent television news story from a village in New York State is a stark reminder that commercial kitchen grease traps clogs can quickly become bigger than a back-of-house maintenance issue. When fats, oils, grease, and food debris make their way into drains, grease traps, storm sewers, or municipal sewer lines, the consequences can affect the restaurant, the local municipality, nearby waterways, and the surrounding community and lead to bad publicity for your business.

The Drain Strainer cuts down on the amount of solids entering your plumbing, which reduces the risk of grease trap clogs and bad publicity.

Biofilm is one of those hidden problems in a commercial kitchen that cause much bigger issues than many operators realize. When food waste, grease, and organic residue keep entering your drains, they create the perfect environment for buildup that affects sanitation, plumbing performance, and day-to-day kitchen operations.

The Drain Strainer helps eliminate biofilm in three bay sink drains by intercepting food waste before it can move into the plumbing system.
