Small Space. Big Impact.

Not every backyard has room for a large swimming pool, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up the idea of having your own private retreat.

For this project in Bridgewater, NJ, we installed a Soake Pool, a compact plunge pool designed to deliver the luxury and enjoyment of a full-sized pool in a much smaller footprint.

A Soake Pool is the perfect solution for properties where space is limited. These pools fit beautifully into smaller backyards while still creating a stunning focal point for outdoor living and entertaining.

Benefits of a Soake Pool include:

âś” Smaller footprint, making it ideal for compact spaces
âś” Faster installation compared to traditional pools
âś” Lower maintenance and operating costs
âś” Energy-efficient heating options
âś” Perfect for relaxing, cooling off, hydrotherapy, and family enjoyment
âś” Creates a high-end resort feel without overwhelming the landscape

At Harmony Design Group, every detail is carefully planned to ensure the pool integrates seamlessly with the surrounding hardscape, drainage, grading, and landscape design. The result is a space that feels intentional, functional, and built to Harmony standards.

Sometimes the smallest spaces create the biggest transformations.

The finish line is in sight on this custom pool and outdoor living project in Bridgewater.

Our team is completing the final stone installation, fine-tuning the grading, and putting the finishing touches on the drainage systems that will help protect this investment for years to come.

While the pool may be the centerpiece, it’s the details behind the scenes that make a project truly successful. Proper grading, effective drainage, and expert stonework all work together to create an outdoor space that’s built to perform as beautifully as it looks.

As we approach completion, our team is carefully reviewing every detail to ensure everything is functioning properly and meets the high standards we hold ourselves to on every project. From drainage performance to stone installation, we take pride in delivering a finished product that reflects the quality and craftsmanship Harmony Design Group is known for.

The vision is becoming reality, and we can’t wait to share the final reveal.

❄️ The late frost we experienced this season caught many plants off guard, especially hydrangeas and other shrubs that had already started pushing new growth.

If you’re noticing brown, dried-out shoots, don’t panic. In many cases, those stems were simply damaged by the frost and won’t recover.

The best course of action now is to prune out the shoots that didn’t survive. Removing the dead growth allows the plant to focus its energy on healthy new growth and helps improve its chances of coming back stronger next season.

Not sure what should stay and what should go? The Fine Gardening Division at Harmony Design Group can help evaluate your plants and provide the proper care they need to thrive.

🌿 Sometimes a little pruning today leads to a healthier garden tomorrow.

Most homeowners think about how their landscape will look during the day.

The best projects are designed to come alive at night. ✨

A truly exceptional outdoor living space shouldn’t disappear when the sun goes down. Your patio, pool, walkways, plantings, and architectural features should look just as beautiful, if not better, after dark.

Strategic landscape lighting adds depth, highlights focal points, improves safety, and completely transforms the way you experience your property. It creates atmosphere for entertaining, extends the usability of your outdoor spaces, and showcases the investment you’ve made in your home.

Swipe to see the difference.

One image shows the space without lighting.

The other shows what’s possible when lighting is thoughtfully integrated into the design.

When planning a landscape project, don’t just ask how it will look during the day.

Ask how it will look at 9 PM on a summer evening.

Because the right lighting doesn’t just illuminate a landscape.

It transforms it.

📍 Designed for beauty day and night.

Ever wonder what it takes to build a pergola that lasts for decades?

At our East Hanover project, we’re not building the pergola yet. First, we’re building the foundation that will support it.

The crew is using a stand on track machine equipped with a hydraulic breaker attachment to break through existing concrete and compacted material. This step allows us to excavate and prepare the footings that will anchor the future pergola.

Why does this matter?

A pergola is only as strong as what’s beneath it. Proper footings help prevent shifting, settling, and structural issues over time.

What makes this process challenging?

âś” Existing concrete and hard ground conditions
âś” Precise footing placement
âś” Working around utilities and existing structures
âś” Maintaining clean access within a finished outdoor living space

What makes it easier?

âś” Specialized equipment designed for tight spaces
âś” Careful planning and layout before excavation begins
âś” Experienced operators who prioritize accuracy
âś” A construction process focused on long term durability

The finished pergola will be beautiful.

But it’s the work below ground that makes everything above ground possible.

Summer nights like this become the moments families remember forever. 🌙✨

The grill is still warm from dinner. Kids are laughing while shooting hoops under the glow of string lights. Parents sit back on the patio for a second and realize this is exactly what home is supposed to feel like.

Not rushed.
Not staged.
Just quality time together under the night sky.

A well designed outdoor space isn’t only about stone patios or landscaping. It’s about creating a place where life naturally happens. Where summer dinners turn into late night conversations. Where basketball games go long after sunset. Where memories are made without anyone even realizing it.

This is the beauty of outdoor living design done with intention. 🤍

Harmony Design Group creates spaces designed for real family living, blending luxury, comfort, and connection into every detail.

From underground infrastructure to the finished hardscape details, this project has been a true example of how much planning and coordination happens behind the scenes before the final transformation comes to life. 👏

One of the biggest challenges on this project was extending the heated driveway system underneath the town sidewalk and asphalt connection area. That meant careful planning, permitting coordination, demolition, excavation, underground piping work, and rebuilding everything properly from the ground up.

What most people see is the finished patio and clean lines. What they don’t always see is the process:
✔️ Site preparation
✔️ Utility and piping coordination
✔️ Sidewalk removal and replacement
✔️ Elevation and drainage planning
✔️ Precision hardscape installation
✔️ Finishing details that tie the entire property together

Every phase matters when creating a seamless outdoor living space that not only looks beautiful but functions properly for years to come.

Projects like this are a reminder that great landscape design-build work is never just about the final photo, it’s about the craftsmanship, problem solving, and process behind it. 🌿

A landscape design is more than a sketch on paper.

Our render presentations help homeowners truly visualize how their outdoor space will look, feel, and function before construction even begins.

From planting layouts and lighting to patios, pools, pergolas, and gathering spaces, every detail is intentionally designed to fit your lifestyle.

This is where creativity meets planning 🌿
