I lost a customer today to underbidding. They had been a customer for 3 years. The customer apologized to me and said that they offered a much better price and then told me who it was. I said I understood, and that I was fine with it. I told her that they’ve been underbidding a lot of people lately. She asked if I was worried about it and if I would lower my price to compete. My answer was no I’m not worried I’ve seen their work. I am not the cheapest lawn care provider in town, but I am one of the best. I care about my clients yards as if they are my own. I work with my customers to understand what they want from their lawns and adjust to meet their needs. If you want a cheap knock down every week that is fine. That is not what I do. I spend the extra time to make it right. I will suggest best lawn care practices that will improve their yard and improve the curb appeal. When I leave the yard it looks like it was done by a professional. To quote a mentor of mine your lawn will "Dominate" the neighborhood.
