Set on 24 acres along the Finley River near Nixa, Missouri, this residence reinterprets regional farmhouse vernacular through the lens of Ozark history. A series of gabled volumes are organized around a central node, spiraling outward in a plan geometry informed by the millstone patterns of the grist mills once common along the Finley River.
The arrangement frames expansive views across the river valley while establishing a sequence of interconnected interior and exterior spaces. Carefully placed glazing draws daylight deep into the home, reinforcing a strong connection between architecture, landscape, and place.
