Late morning today after going to Revival last night! Whew... it was amazing! God is Good... All The Time!

Today is Wednesday.... as I look at my phone to make sure! 🀣🀣🀣

Wild Lettuce Wednesday is what we're going to call it! 😢

What is Wild Lettuce Noel?

The genus Lactuca (wild lettuces) is a large group of edible weeds that look like a mix between lettuce and dandelions. Often confused with dandelions...

Wild lettuce is a plant that has been used for pain relief and to induce sleep. It’s used by people interested in alternatives to conventional medications... You know, like me and maybe like you?

Spring 2026 brought me a plethora of Wild Lettuce! So much so, not only was I able to make several 1/2 gallon jars of Tincture, but I was even able to offer the dried plant material to local small businesses!

As I'm cleaning out and setting up a new space for my Apothecary, I am finding a need to discount this Incredible pain reliever!

Today is Officially Wild Lettuce Wednesday!!

Renewed Roots Wild Lettuce Tincture is available in 1 oz dropper bottles, however, with notice, it can be ordered in 2 oz bottles*.

Help Renewed Roots make room for new herbs and tinctures for fall 2026!
And try out a replacement for nsaids in your medicine cabinet!

What are your likes and dislikes about having a Greenhouse?

My first was amazing, until it was too small! 😳

The 2nd filled up with "stuff"! Although there was a lot growing, it was mainly starts, seedlings and plants that needed temperature control. Ex peppers in the cooler months.

I see homesteader friends with high tunnels where they actually grown in the ground and in raised beds, only!

That means year round growing of food or herbs no matter the season. As long as the structure has climate control, right?

Let me know your thoughts, ideas, etc...

TGIF!!!

I know for some of you, today is Friday is a definite Happy thing!
For me, sometimes I forget what day it is! πŸ˜‰

Since it wasn't raining this morning, I took some pictures of the potted plants on the side of the house. The front gets all day sun and I've noticed by putting these on the side with only afternoon sun, they are not as frail and dry looking!

Read your seed packets or the name tag in the plants you purchase. They always have information on what conditions those plants thrive in. Full Sun, Shade, etc.

If you're looking for a good place to purchase potted plants, seed packets or seedling.. PLEASE do not buy from the big box stores! That's a whole other story..

There are so many local you can find if you look!

Polk's Plus & Polk's On the Go not only has a plethora of seasonal fruits and vegetables but has a WHOLE FRONT YARD of plants and herbs!
Savannah Citrus is a great place if you're looking for fruit trees! And Tom has all the answers when it comes to citrus!!
Savannah Hydroponics & Organics carries several of the Medicinal seeds I love, as well as seeds for all kinds of vegys! They also have everything you might need to start your own raised beds, Hydroponics equipment and so much more!

Renewed Roots has been taking a break from all the markets I've done in the past, because of my involvement with my favorite ministries. God opened a door for me and I decided to take some time off from the vendor events. The summer heat has been excruciating so I'm kind of glad about the time off.

So if you've been looking for Renewed Roots, you can always check out the website (below) and/or check out some of my favorite small businesses in your area*...

This weekend will be filled with ministry and worship! I'll be in the Guyton, Statesboro and Pooler areas from Friday through Sunday, so if are looking for any of the Renewed Roots Remedies, send me a msg!

As always, share this post with your social media and of course check out the website for all your favorites (and maybe something new)...

The Apothecary planters need to be refilled...

What's going in for fall?

Some of this list, you might have seen earlier in the Vegy list. It's because I use some herbs for food as well as well as medicine!

Like Oregano for example. Years ago, I had NO IDEA Oregano was a medicinal herb used as an antibiotic! What?? Yes!
If you don't know, Oregano Infused Oil is used for toothaches, mouth sores, strep throat, cold sores, ear aches, ear infections, digestive issues, fungus toenail and so much more! But, all I knew was its use for cooking amazing Italian dishes! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Sage is amazing in certain dishes like my grandfather's Sage Dressing at Thanksgiving! But... it's also amazing as one of the herbs infused into the Renewed Roots Hair Growth Oil!

So here is a list of some of the Medicinal Herbs that will be growing in my planters this fall..

Oregano
Bee Balm
Holy Basil
Valerian Root
Feverfew
Arnica
Marshmallow
Yarrow
Nasturtium
Catnip
Sage
Calendula
Echinacea
Chamomile
Mullein
Comfrey
Toothache

Please ask if you have questions about why I have chosen these. I'm not a gatekeeper so I'll do my best to help!

I'm excited to see the germination in the Calendula bed with all the rain we've had in the past couple days.

Remember to share these posts and hop over to the website to keep up with new things and bringing back some past things!

Pt 3 of What seeds are you sowing for Fall w/ ReNewed Roots!

Some of you just want the list! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
Some of you want to know why I chose what to grow this fall...

Honestly, what I have chosen is 2 fold...

The first reason is because these are the seeds I have and the space I have can only handle so much without working the soil.

The second reason for some of what I'm planning to grow is for the Apothecary. Since I dumped, I need to replenish so when I'm low on the dried herbs, the new plants are thriving enough to harvest. And also because I haven't grown some of this list in awhile and I miss it.

Not too terribly thought provoking!

Why are you choosing the seeds you want to plant?

I've always said, plant things you enjoy eating or using! You wouldn't plant rutabaga plants if you don't like them, right? Unless you're planning on donating them.

The first garden I ever had on my own, 30+ years ago, I grew Beef Tomatoes, Cherry tomatoes, Green peppers, Red Peppers, Lettuce and Spinach.
A few years ago, I realized that eating TOO MANY tomatoes was not good for my body, so now i stick with different varieties of Cherry tomatoes. I am from Maryland and I Love Tomatoes! Although I do love me a nice BLT, I don't eat bread much anymore unless it's sourdough. More on that another time...

So what you chose to plant, should be based on what you like to eat and what grows well in our climate! You decide!

You'll also want to look at germination time as well as days to maturity. If you chose a plant that has a long maturity time, make sure you look at the changes in weather or at least have a plan to cover them in case of an early frost date! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Here are some of the Vegy seeds I'm working on for fall!

Little Finger Carrots - a gift from
Red Romaine Lettuce
Spinach
Spearmint - throwing more seeds in the pot!
Broadleaf Sage
Black Cherry Tomatoes
Cabbage (maybe)
Kale

All of these, except the cabbage will be grown in my Greenstalk growing systems!

In pt 4, I'll share my medicinal seed choices and why!
