Tuesday, January 30 is the FINAL opportunity for Douglas County residents to take advantage of a group purchase discount when upgrading their homes and small businesses with an energy efficient ductless heat pump, which uses 25-50% less power than traditional heating and cooling systems.

Energize Rogue is a limited-time opportunity to purchase a ductless heat pump at a discounted rate through a community group purchasing program. Pacific Power customers may also be eligible for $800-$1,000 in rebates through Energy Trust of Oregon, and Douglas Electric Cooperative members may qualify for $1,000 in rebates, if upgrading from another electric heat source. Financing and on-bill repayment are available through Craft3.

All totaled, 102 attendees from 79 homes and businesses learned about the ductless heat pump group purchase discount, and the Energy Trust of Oregon incentives, state tax credits, and Craft3 financing options that support energy efficient upgrades. We are pleased to announce our partnership with Rogue Valley Heating & Air Conditioning -- the community-approved local contractor for the Josephine County Energize Rogue campaign. Local volunteers evaluated project proposals to confirm the Grants Pass-based small business meets criteria for pricing, customer service, and quality of products.

The first JoCo workshop is in Grants Pass, Oregon on Nov. 16 at 6:00 PM. Attendees will learn more about the group purchase discount for a new ductless heating system, as well as the incentives, rebates and financing opportunities. Repesenatives from RV Heating and Air Conditioning will explain ductless heat pump technology and answer questions.

We had a packed house for the first Douglas Co Energize Rogue Community Workshop last night in Roseburg, Oregon! Over 90 people learned about ductless heat pumps, the incentives available through Energy Trust of Oregon and Douglas Electric Cooperative, and financing and on-bill repayment though Craft3. Dozens of attendees scheduled free assessments with the pre-approved local installer Barnes Heating & Cooling, Inc., and DCSmartEnergy presented about other energy conservation programs in Douglas County, Oregon.
