🥶 Missouri Cold is Here 🥶
We are preparing for a stretch of dangerously cold temperatures, with wind chills expected to drop well below zero. Snow and icy conditions may also impact travel over the next few days.
5 Star is here to make sure your family stays warm and safe through these cold brutal temperatures. Fast, honest service from a local company that truly cares about you and the community!

Here's what to expect during this winter weather event:
🔧 Service Availability
Our technicians are on standby and ready to help. That being said, we will be closely monitoring road conditions and may experience delays to ensure everyone stays safe. We truly appreciate your patience during extreme weather.
❄️ Emergency Calls Take Priority
Due to the severity of the cold, we will be focusing on Emergency “No Heat” situations through the weekend.
Routine maintenance and non-urgent repairs may be postponed so we can assist homes without heat first.
💡 Helpful Tips
1. Please remember with these extremely cold temperatures you are going to have to rely on your Emergency or auxiliary heat!! Heat pumps will be basically ineffective in these cold conditions
2. Set your thermostat to your desired temperature and leave it. Constantly adjusting the temperature can make it harder for your system to keep up in extreme conditions.
3. Expect Longer Run Times. Your furnace or heat pump may run almost continuously. This is normal on bitter-cold days because the system is working to overcome the chill.
4. Your Home May Not Reach the Exact Set Temperature. If it’s extremely cold (single digits or below), your system may struggle to hit the thermostat set point — even if it’s working perfectly!
Example: Set to 72°F but hovering around 68–70°F.
