Electrical Series, Part 3: Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Back with CV Electric for the next episode in our electrical series, and this one is all about the devices that quietly protect your family 24/7: smoke detectors and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors.

Here’s how to keep them working:

🔋 Change the batteries at least every 6 months.
🔔 Test your alarms monthly, or even weekly if you can. It only takes a few seconds and could save a life.

Set a reminder on your phone so you never have to think about it. A detector with a dead battery isn’t protecting anyone.
