SQP Construction Group is currently seeking experienced Cement Masons and Concrete Finishers for a large number of commercial construction projects. These are full-time positions for permanent employment with competitive pay and benefits.

Job Responsibilities:
* Understand and interpret blueprints and building plans for projects
* Responsible for placing and finishing concrete sidewalks, slab on grade and slab on decks using a variety of hand and power tools.
* Set and align the forms that hold the concrete to the desired pitch and depth
* Install reinforcing rebar and mesh wire
* Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float
* Mold expansion joints and edges using proper tools
* Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of the concrete
* Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affects the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process to ensure a durable, smooth and uniform finish
* Adhere to all city, state and federal regulatory codes
Job Requirements:
* 3+ years Commercial Construction experience as a cement mason or concrete finisher
* Ability to operate some smaller heavy equipment preferred
* Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
* Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb, bend stoop, balance, crouch and sit for extended amounts of time
