Earth Day only comes around once a year, and it’s a good reminder of the work we’re part of—but for us, it’s every day 🌎🌲

We’re still out here this week working alongside private landowners who care about their forests and the long game. A lot of what we do happens quietly—walking properties, making plans, putting in the work—but it all adds up.

We appreciate the partnerships and the shared commitment to keeping these forests healthy for the future, whether it's through planting, maintaining, or cleaning up.

Our accounting team took learning on the road with visits to the Biewer sawmill in McBain, and Biewer Lumber - Lansing. For many—Jessica, Jaye, Emily, and Andrea—it was a first look at a mill and treating facility, and the experience sparked great conversations and curiosity.

Huge thanks to our on-site hosts, Kris Demel and Nick Biewer and their teams, for walking the accounting team through the full manufacturing process and making the visit hands-on and meaningful. And shout-out to Wes Windover and Katie Putvin for the bonus crash course on northern Michigan logging.

Experiences like this remind us: when teams connect, we grow stronger together.

As Manufacturing Month comes to a close, we’re featuring the final stage before our lumber ships — the last stack. 📦

At this point in the process, lumber has been sorted, graded, and packed for delivery to customers across the country. It’s the final check to ensure every product leaving the facility meets our standards.
