This week was spent replacing my friend Allan’s worn out carpet with Nucore Cedar Point Rigid core luxury Vinyl Plank. To alleviate the expense of tile removal, I leveled the existing tile in the entry hall and kitchen and laid the vinyl on top, transitioning it to the former carpeted area. The old existing baseboards were looking pretty bad, so I suggested adding new 5 1/4” base. Keeping wasted materials to a minimum and saving 6 unused boxes to return, offset the cost of the baseboards keeping them in budget for a complete makeover.

I’ve removed the dated Bamboo engineered wood flooring and the original baseboards in my client Sallies home with Nucore’s Palo Alto ll 8mm luxury vinyl plank flooring. 5 1/4” Baseboards with a bead trim were added throughout the home for an updated look. I did the living / dining rooms, master suite / office, and a single bedroom.

Occasionally, you get that job where your customers are devastated with hurricane damage. They’re displaced fighting insurance companies, HOA’s and are now living in an uninhabitable home until repairs can be made. My customers Amy and Sherry lived that nightmare! I was more than happy to step in and help ease there worries and concerns. After repairs on the storm damage were made it was time to get their home back to better!
The old vinyl flooring on the first floor was laid without a v***r barrier, failing to water damage and locking failure. I removed it and and while waiting for damage repairs to be made, I started with a full carpet delete on the second level and staircase. Amy chose Nucores “Mission White Salvage “ luxury vinyl plank and we also ordered the custom matching stair treads for the staircase which they did an amazing job of making! Upstairs, the hallway 3 bedrooms and closets were done. The staircase was next on the agenda as repairs were being completed, and then the lower level living, dining and kitchen were completed, and they got their home back! 🏠
