Another one wrapped up in Baroda! 🏠
A tree came down on part of this ranch home. Along with a full roof replacement in CertainTeed NorthGate Georgetown Gray, we repaired and replaced the damaged soffit and fascia where the tree hit (about 30 feet), replaced that section of gutter, and finished the whole house with Charcoal Gutter Topper. The Georgetown Gray shingles look sharp over the light siding, and the matching hip and ridge caps tie the hip roof and attached garage together.
Like every roof we install, this one is a CertainTeed Integrity Roofing System: 5½ ft of WinterGuard ice and water shield at all eave edges and around all roof pe*******ons, with RoofRunner synthetic underlayment over the balance of the roof deck. CertainTeed requires WinterGuard to go over a clean, dry roof deck, never on top of old roofing material. Once the old roof came off, the old ice and water shield was still stuck to sections of the decking, so our crew did a partial redeck and installed new decking in those areas and anywhere else it was needed.
We also replaced the old roof vents with CertainTeed ridge vent, covered the old vent openings, adjusted the attic insulation for proper airflow below the roof deck, and added a new vent with a damper, a new chimney flashing kit, new pipe boots, and new T-metal drip edge.
On the gutter side, we replaced the 30-foot section the tree damaged with new 5" Almond seamless gutter and gave the existing gutters a full tune-up: cleaned out the gutters and downspouts, repitched where needed for proper water flow, and resealed any leaking seams the homeowner pointed out. Then we installed 225 feet of Charcoal Gutter Topper all the way around the house.
