At 22 years old, I was the youngest person—and often the only woman—in rooms full of male construction veterans. I’ll never forget walking onto a job site and being told, "I've been doing this longer than you've been alive."
It was meant to demean me, and it almost worked. I nearly let the second-guessing stop me from launching my business.
But I couldn't ignore the major industry flaw I kept seeing: homeowners doing everything "right"—investing in a new roof, new windows, or insulation—only to still have comfort issues. Traditional contractors were just selling individual products and walking away. No one was looking at the big picture.
That is exactly why I stayed, fought for my place, and built ECOcentrix.
Homes don't function as isolated pieces; "a house is a system." We take a holistic, science-driven approach because we care about building long-term relationships, not just chasing quick sales. You deserve a contractor who looks at the whole home and explains the "why."
I'd love to hear your story in the comments: Have you ever stayed and pushed forward when a room made you feel like you didn't belong? 👇
We'll see you next Wednesday for another . ☀️
