THE HARDEST PART OF DEMOLITION ISN’T ALWAYS THE DEMOLITION. 🧠🔨
Sometimes, it’s figuring out how to get the job done in the first place.
This project put our problem-solving skills to the test. Between the soaring ceilings, intricate architectural details, curved staircases, and delicate finishes that needed to be protected, there was nothing straightforward about it.
Traditional scaffolding would have been costly, time-consuming, and required our crew to repeatedly climb narrow ladders at significant heights. A mechanical lift wasn’t a practical option either, as the concentrated weight could have compromised the flooring beneath it.
So, we got creative.
After exploring our options and collaborating with others in the industry, we found a stair-access scaffolding system that allowed our crew to work more efficiently while reducing the risks associated with constantly climbing up and down ladders.
But that was only half the challenge.
We also had detailed ceiling work positioned above a curved staircase, where protecting the existing railings and establishing a safe working platform required an entirely different approach.
Our solution involved specialized ladder boots, a walk board, and a custom-fabricated metal railing designed to provide additional fall protection and a designated point for securing our crew’s harnesses.
Because sometimes the right equipment doesn’t exist for your exact situation, and you have to figure out how to make the job possible without compromising safety or quality.
One thing we’ve learned over the years is that there’s tremendous value in collaboration. We’re not afraid to ask questions, seek input from others in our industry, or explore unconventional solutions when a project demands it.
We take pride in being a company that doesn’t just show up with tools and start tearing things apart.
We evaluate. We strategize. We problem-solve. And we pay attention to the details that matter.
Demolition is what we do. Finding a better way to do it is what sets us apart.
