We offer 24-hour emergency service for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Lighting maintenance, and communication wiring are a part of our everyday operations as well. We have a boom truck with a 55' reach to take care of parking lot/site lighting.

Having fun, working in the trade we love, and tackling some exciting projects behind the scenes!

What better time than June to share a half-year highlight and catch everyone up on what we've been up to so far in 2026?

Let's start with January! Shall we?

We had the pleasure of hosting our annual Holiday Party at the Missouri Athletic Club, bringing together our team and their significant others to celebrate another great year and the people who make it all possible. It was a wonderful evening filled with good food, great company, plenty of laughs, and a chance to recognize all the hard work that went into the year. A special thank you to those who made this event possible, what a hit it was!

Congratulations to our May Employee Spotlight, Lawrence Fitzgerald! Lawrence has been a part of our low voltage department since 2022, and we couldn’t be more proud of the efforts put in. Lawrence is extremely reliable, always goes above and beyond with our customers/general contractors. In addition to Lawrence’s dependability, his skill in the trade is exceptional. He is able to work on every system with a high level of detail, knowledge, and expertise. For the past year and a half, Lawrence has been assigned to a St. Louis Community College project, where he has been a tremendous asset on-site. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, professionalism, and commitment Lawrence demonstrates each day. Congratulations, Lawrence, on a job consistently well done, and thank you for all that you do!

Congratulations to our April Employee Spotlight, Brett Roeder! He is always one of the first people to show up every morning, helps keep operations on track day in and day out. Brett is dependable and always ready to step up; you can count on him to get materials delivered to the jobsite and support the team wherever needed. Outside of work, Brett is a dedicated family man, avid motocross enthusiast who brings the same energy and commitment into everything he does. We are proud to have him on the team for the last 13 years!

Congratulations to our March Employee Spotlight, Sam Lay! Sam has been an asset to Schaeffer for 10 years (come August). Sam has a knack for making prefab dreams come to life. His innovative abilities while staying up to date on the latest and greatest materials help push Schaeffer forward. We are so impressed with the way he can spot an opportunity on any type of project and help our design team bring it to fruition. When Sam is not at on the job, he is a proud dad to three girls, he has recently started assisting coaching for all their sporting teams! Congratulations, Sam!

Congratulations to our December Employee Spotlight, Carolyn Conboy!!! Carolyn joined the team nine years ago and hit the ground running from the moment she joined Schaeffer, working her way to Vice President of Finance. Carolyn truly does it all! From ensuring everyone goes home with a paycheck on Fridays to managing vehicles (insurance, payments, and more), reviewing contracts, securing bonds, overseeing HR activities, monitoring credit card spending, balancing the books, and so much in between—her impact touches every part of our organization.

Overseeing the finance department and tracking every dollar coming in and out of the company is no easy task, but Carolyn handles it with dedication, professionalism, and grace. Her attention to detail and commitment help keep our operations running smoothly every single day.

Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family and loves showing her care through food—cooking meals they love and will remember.

Congratulations to our November Employee Spotlight, Jaime Halbrook!! We were lucky enough to gain Jaime from Benson, where she began in 1999. She celebrated 25 years last year. To know Jaime is to know that she truly cares and will always lend a helping hand. Jaime handles all our large job billing, she is always working with GCs to get monthly AIAs out on time, which is an art in itself. Jaime is the queen of Christmas around here, check out her desk area next time you are in! When Jaime isn’t at work, she enjoys journaling and writing, she has even been working on her very own book series!!
