Iam sure that will be me one day! ❤️
Wisdom understands you only buy the best!
Stan Segal’s been around plumbing for most of his life. He’s a third-generation master plumber whose grandfather, Sam Segal, founded the family business in Philadelphia back in 1911. His father, Ben, carried it forward, and Stan took over in 1977. Today, at 87 years old, Stan is still part of a plumbing tradition that’s lasted more than a century.
And for most of Stan's own career, Harben has been right there with him.
Stan bought his first Harben in the 1980s. He’s now on his fourth. That means Harben hasn't simply been a piece of equipment he used for a few years. It’s been part of the way he’s worked for decades through countless jobs and an industry he’s watched change around him.
That kind of longevity gives a person a perspective on equipment.
“I always buy the best. That’s why I’ve always bought Harbens.”
Stan followed that thought up with some other words of wisdom.
“Good is never cheap.”
We couldn’t agree more! For Stan, the value of a jetter comes down to whether he could count on it when there was work to do. As he puts it, your tools become part of your reputation. You show up to a job needing equipment that can handle the work, and you expect it to keep working right alongside you.
There’s something fitting about a third-generation plumber placing that much value on durability that becomes longevity. Allen's Plumbing Service has endured because generations of the Segal family chose to keep going, doing the work, and carrying forward what the generation before them built.
Harben is proud to have been along for so much of Stan's journey.
Four Harbens. More than four decades together. And one remarkable career in the trade. Thank you, Stan.
