MCA members and guests came together yesterday for our Day at the Races networking event — and it did not disappoint. From trackside conversations to new connections made, our member contractors brought the same energy to the fabulous Fairmount Park Casino & Racing that they bring to every jobsite. The ocean air was abuzz with camaraderie and collaboration at this week's Mechanical Contractors Association of America Women in the Mechanical Industry (WiMI) Conference in beautiful Coronado, California! A diverse group of mechanical professionals and students from our area took part in a fantastic week of charting our course together while enjoying memorable experiences like Monday's Eastern Missouri (and North Carolina!) dinner outing and Tuesday's unforgettable WiMI Giveback service opportunity and lively Compass Reception.

We'd especially like to acknowledge Christina Schafer of Integrated Facility Services, our representative on the national WiMI Committee, for her leadership during the week, as well as Paige Theby of Murphy Company, chair of our Eastern Missouri WiMI Committee, for joining Christina in moderating an excellent roundtable on Field to Office Communication.

Congratulations to 2026 Emerging Leader Jordan Worth, a Construction Learning and Development Specialist at icon Mechanical. In that capacity, she oversees the professional development of her industry peers, partnering with MCA and other organizations to build our industry through education.

Jordan first joined the team at icon in a project management role three years ago, after graduating from the University of Memphis.

She is a rising star on MCA’s Young Professionals Committee, with a special focus on the committee’s community service projects. She consistently leverages her many community connections to find places where MCA’s emerging professionals can make the greatest difference. She is always ready to lend her depth of insight to create opportunity for future leaders.

Jordan, we congratulate you on your accomplishments so far, and we can’t wait to see what you do next!
