A fun fact about this article - our father was featured in a similar piece in the May 2014 issue. I thought it fitting to share a brief excerpt that did not make it to print, from Cullen's interview:
"My name is Cullen Hagerty and I am a Member of Old World Roofing Co, LLC. My father, Dan Hagerty, founded our company in 1986 with the intentions of “preserving a dying art” and “keeping a few honest people employed.” I was blessed to have been taught the values of dedication, honesty, integrity, and fairness by the hardest working man I know. Having been three years old when my parents started the company, it is fair to say that I grew up in the industry. When I was younger and working on summer breaks, my dad would put me on the oldest, dirtiest, toughest, jobs possible in hopes that I would choose another profession. After I graduated college with a degree in marketing, I approached him with some ideas to carry our company into the 21st century. And the rest is history."
