"Resilient & High Performing"

These are terms that are at the core of KAI Engineering's philosophy, every system that operates in one of our projects must be capable of providing 24/7 functionality.

No greater case study of this, is exemplified than our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering design services for the new $114 million Maintenance Complex at St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL).

The new two building 285,000 SF complex will not only replace the existing 135,000 SF facility but will consolidate operations that have been spread across nine buildings, some of which are more than 50 years old.

Operational functionality will include:

vehicle maintenance and repair operations
warehouse and storage functions
training and conference space
administrative offices & locker facilities
critical building infrastructure
enclosed storage for specialized airfield equipment
wash bays & service areas
operational support spaces

Congratulations to St. Louis Lambert International Airport, Jacobs and the rest of our project partners, and everyone who has helped this project progress. We are proud to see such as a special project continue its march toward an estimated construction completion in late 2027!!

🚨 New Project Alert! 🏗️

KAI Build is proud to support the renovation and expansion of the Intensive Care Unit at BJC HealthCare's Christian Hospital Northeast. The 19,400-square-foot project will modernize and expand the facility to include 32 ICU beds, enhancing the hospital's capacity to deliver critical care services to the St. Louis community. Valued at approximately $18.5 million, construction is expected to be completed in approximately 2.5 years.

We are honored to partner with BJC HealthCare on this important investment in healthcare infrastructure. This project will strengthen access to high-quality critical care services and support the health and well-being of the communities served by Christian Hospital Northeast.

Throughout the year, schools and districts invest in facility upgrades and improvements that enhance safety, comfort, and daily operations, helping create environments where students can learn, grow, and thrive from day one. This summer, renovations at Dallas ISD's H. I. Holland Elementary School reached completion, delivering a new multipurpose classroom, an updated kitchen designed to meet current standards, an administrative office addition, the connection of the previously detached gymnasium to the main building, and enhancements to the campus's MEP systems.
