What an incredible turnout this past weekend at our Columbia office! 🚧 A huge thank you to the massive crowd who joined us for our recent Safety Rodeo.

It was a fantastic day of teamwork, safety education, and community.

Highlights from the event included:

• Vendor Partners & Giveaways: A special shoutout to TNT Conveyor & Drive, Hilti, Columbia Safety, and Fastenal as they were some of our amazing vendors that shared their expertise and brought some awesome giveaways for the team!

• Our Little Builders: It was wonderful having the kids out to join us and seeing our future builders hard at work.

• Team Milestones: Congratulations to Wayne Brooks, who was presented with his certificate for completing leadership training by our President, Lee Hahnel. Way to go, Wayne! 👏

• Good Eats: Wrapping up a successful day with fantastic BBQ and delicious desserts.

A massive shoutout to the planning team and everyone behind the scenes who worked so hard to make this day a success. Way to go, team!

INVESTIGATION COMPLETE

Our team's popcorn-fueled investigation at the movies last night officially confirmed that Acme Constructors builds solid facilities, whereas the cartoon Acme Corporation specializes exclusively in dropping giant anvils on coyotes. Check out the photos from our night out where we successfully avoided stepping on any cleverly disguised catapults!

A fact-finding mission is underway.

The movie says ACME is a giant corporation causing all the problems.
We weren’t about to accept that without conducting our own investigation.
So ACME Constructors rented the theater.

Safety and leadership took center stage at our Cape office Construction Safety Rodeo last month! We had a great turnout and fantastic energy from the whole team as we continue to shine a light on our commitment to our people.

We were especially proud to watch more of our team complete the Breslin Leadership Training. We loved presenting the certificates and sharing these smiling faces.

Congratulations to Doug Norris, Chris Mossoney, Jody Schatz, Loren Scheller, Matt Fakes, Chad Griffin, Joe Kemper, and Ben Wade! Well deserved. 👏👷‍♂️

Great work deserves recognition.

At our Fort Dodge, Iowa food and beverage project, ACME Constructor's Ironworker crew was recognized by the client for outstanding safety leadership and quality on an extensive platform installation project.

Their effort, attention to detail, and commitment to working safely stood out on site and earned the crew a client-hosted recognition lunch.

Congratulations to Travis Dalton, Bob Church, Davey Samples, Justin Wilder, Mike Hyatt, Bart Bonvillian, and Sam Williams.

Happy to the incredible intern team at ACME Constructors! 🎉

Today, we are celebrating the hard work, fresh perspectives, and dedication of our Project Management, IT, and Safety interns. Our extensive shadowing program is designed to take our interns through every phase of the project life cycle, and it is incredibly rewarding to see the impact it has on their future careers.

As one of our PM interns recently shared: "Working here has shown me what project engineering for construction really looks like, and the experience I have gained has been phenomenal... After starting, it has only become clearer that this is where I would like to go in the future."

Precision starts before the first piece is set.

ACME Constructors millwrights and ironworkers are training on the Hilti PLT 400 total station to improve layout accuracy for structural steel, equipment installation, and complex industrial work.

By pulling measurements directly from digital drawings, our teams can verify layouts, confirm anchor bolt locations, and identify potential issues before work begins in the field.

As one of our team members put it:

“Being able to pull exact measurements straight from the digital drawings onto the Hilti tablet completely streamlines the layout process.”

Technology matters — but only when skilled tradespeople know how to put it to work.

Welcome to the team! 👷‍♀️
We are thrilled to introduce Julie, the newest Project Engineer joining us here at ACME Constructors. Building a strong foundation is just as important in a career as it is on a job site, and we couldn't be more excited to be the place where she is starting hers!

A graduate of the UMSL/WASHU Joint Engineering Program and former captain of the UMSL Women’s soccer team, Julie is trading the pitch for the project site. She brings a "captain's mindset," natural leadership, and an incredible eagerness to learn to our team. From power plants to bakeries, she is already hitting the ground running and embracing the thrill of having a “different day every day” in construction.
