Things people think security officers deal with:
🚨 High-speed chases
🚨 Dramatic confrontations
🚨 Crime scenes

Things security officers actually deal with most:
• Doors that should be locked but aren’t
• People going where they shouldn’t
• Parking lot chaos
• Being the person everyone asks for directions and info 😅

Security is often about preventing problems before they become big ones.

If you’ve ever worked security before — what’s the most random thing someone asked you?

Watchful Wednesday: Good security starts with what you can see.👀

We notice:
- Burnt-out lights in lots & entryways
- Dark corners near dumpsters / side doors
- Landscaping that creates hiding spots
- Lighting fixes are one of the fastest wins.

Proud to share this from St. Louis County Police Department. 👏

At Sentry Security, we love hiring veterans, too - because mission-first mindset, accountability, and calm under pressure matter in this work.

This business was built by generations of U.S. Marines and St. Louis Metropolitan Police, and we’re proud to keep that tradition going.

We’re kicking off a new weekly series called Watchful Wednesday — because security isn’t just “standing there”, it’s noticing the little things before they turn into big problems.

Here’s what our guards actually notice on post:
✅ Doors that look closed…but aren’t fully latched
✅ “Just for a second” propped entrances
✅ Dark corners where lights are out
✅ The same car circling one too many times
✅ People who don’t look lost… they look curious

When people think “security guards,” they picture someone standing still in the corner. That’s not what we do.

Our guards are on-site, visible, and actively paying attention. We patrol properties, respond to alarms, check buildings, and handle situations before they turn into real problems.

It’s about presence.
It’s about awareness.
It's about professionalism.
And it’s about having real people there when it matters.

That’s what Sentry Security does best.
Specialists in Protection. 🛡️
