Over on Liberty Tree Rd near Point Peter

Another roof that needed extensive structural repairs due to a previous installation. Once the old roofing was stripped, we found that much of the existing decking and some rafters had been compromised by rot, water damage, and age. Large sections of the plywood decking were soft and unsafe, and many boards had to be removed and replaced to restore a solid, secure foundation. In some areas, framing members also needed reinforcement to ensure proper support. Only after installing the new wood decking throughout could we move forward with the underlayment and roofing system. The additional carpentry work added time and material costs, but it ensured the roof was built on a stable and long-lasting structure.

Before & After
This small project turned from a small project into a big one.

- We prepped the surface by scraping and sanding paint, texture, and imperfections from walls.
- Stripped problem areas down to bare where necessary.
- Once we could get to a starting point, we quickly realized that walls were incredibly uneven and needed a rework. We applied joint compound across all walls and ceiling.
- Feathered and smoothed seams and transitions.
- Sanded between coats of compound.
- Applied primer to all prepped surfaces.
- Finished with multiple coats of SW Cashmere Eggshell Finish while smooth sanding in between coats.
