Over 30 years ago, my mom began passing down her knowledge of gardening and wild flowers to me at our home in Fairport, NY. I got my first seasonal job with an actual pay check at age 11 weeding a 10 acre estate in Palmyra, NY. Since then, I have combined my passion for biology and the outdoors with my hard work ethic to grow a business focusing on providing something for clients not found much el
sewhere: honesty, charisma, research, an open feedback loop, and fair pricing. In Litchfield County, CT, I established many long-term, loyal clients, most of whom became my friends outside of the work I performed for them. Now that I've bought a home in Stafford Springs, ask and I'll give you my reference list! I run my business alone, and do all of the work either alone or directly supervising one other person. Reliable help is so difficult to find I usually don't even bother with it myself! I feel the pain from the times we live in as a business owner, laborer, mom, partner, and home owner, and I expect to offer a suitable answer to that for my clients by my own personal standards. Services I provide:
--All aspects of gardening, all kinds of plants, meticulous weeding, design and installation
--Pruning of ornamental trees and shrubs
--Fertilizing, disease and pest management
--Fall and spring cleanups: raking, leaf blowing, brush removal
--Line trimming, brush cutting, some mowing
--Winterization (mulching, pruning, deer and climate protection such as fences, burlap, snow binding)
--Snow shoveling and salting (no, I do not have a plow nor a snow blower but I'll shovel your walk and small driveway for cheaper than your landscaper and do a better job)
--Clearing of scrub brush
--Removal of invasive vines and shrubs (poison ivy, virginia creeper, barberries, multiflora, grapevine, etc) by hand or with herbicide; I prefer NOT using chemicals but sometimes it's the only effective means
--Some tree work: call for a free estimate! (I don't have a crane, boom truck, chipper or a crew but I can take down anything I consider safe and within my physical means)
--I offer regular yard and grounds maintenance, and consulting for a variety of related subjects
--Previous jobs ranged from watering and deadheading houseplants to designing and installing mass plantings, care and maintenance of estates over 10 acres... no harm in asking for a free estimate for whatever you are looking for!
