Driveway Expansion #1 -

These homeowners wanted their driveway extended and redone, widening it out from 20-32ft. Started with digging out an old drain tile, dug a trench 25ft out from it, and filled it all with 6 ton of 5-6” Surge Stone for drainage. After that, graded out the driveway bringing a lot of the main driveway material over to the low grass areas. Then had 24 ton of 4” Crusher Run brought in to use as a base material and bring the grade up of the grass area to the existing driveway. Once everything was graded out, had 24 ton of 1” Crusher brought in to top the whole area. Home owners said they will roll it all themselves with their roller. Will be back at a later date to extend parking area along the side of the garage and to do topsoil and seed work along the whole driveway to taper it down to the grass line

Driveway Stone and Drainage #2 -

After everything was graded out, drainage installed, started adding Surge Stone. Put surge stone over French Drain along the driveway, over the drain at the top of the driveway, and put that and a mix of 2” Crusher over the end of the drain pipe to slow the flow of water and reduce erosion. Once that was done, finished grading out the 2” Crusher Run. Went with a 2” Crusher Run for a little more meat and stability as a base incase of heavy rains. I know the Finished pics aren’t the best do to the shadows casting on it, but it was more enjoyable have the sun out than getting rain on continuously

Driveway Drainage and Stone #1 -

This homeowner was having some serious water and erosion down his driveway and part of his parking area. Coming out of winter, heavy down pours, and aggressive grade makes it for a very intense flow that have cut deep canals everywhere. There was a drain and pipe installed up by the road to try to catch a lot of the water coming off the road, down the shoulder, but keeps getting covered over by stone and silt, making it a straight shot down the driveway. The homeowners driveway also follows the side of an aggressive hill, which also brings a lot of water to the driveway adding to the chaos. So, started things out by grading the driveway and parking area smooth, throwing in some French Drains, and clear off the drain at the top of the driveway to assess what that needs done.

Snow is melting, warmer temps on the way, Spring is in sight. With things clearing up, we are seeing winter was a rough one this year. High winds downed a lot of trees, plows tore up a lot of lawns, snow and very cold temps will create alot of water issues as it melts. If your looking to get a jump on the Spring clean ups, repairs to any winter damages, or projects lined up for the Summer season, hit me up, I’ll see what I can do for you. 585-297-2459

This homeowner had a retaining wall way past its time. They wanted the section replaced that was most hazardous to the neighbors. I wasn’t quite ready to start their job when I did, but they said they were able to see it move through the summer to where it was touching the neighbors fence. So I had to jump on the demolition of the wall much earlier than the construction part of it just so it didn’t damage or come down on anyone. But, removed the wall, jack hammered through a 2ft x 2ft thick footer, and then had boulders underneath as a base to jackhammer through to be able to set the posts. After the post set, constructed the wall out of 6”x6”x12’ lumber, and set up drainage inside. Tied in the down spout, installed relief shelves, and backfilled with 2” Clean Stone. I left the stone down just a touch, so if the home owner wants to install fabric and maybe some decorative stone later down the road, they don’t have to remove any of the clean stone to do so. The home owners didn’t want any additional features, they just wanted the old one out, the new one installed, before any mishaps took place

This homeowner wanted a little privacy fence installed in their back yard. Started out with doing 24ft. After completing the 24ft, the homeowner got back ahold of me, wanted more done. They had me add another 8ft and a 4ft door, coming out to be 36ft of Dog Eared Picket fence all together. The home owner did not want an access latch on the outside of the door.

This home owner wanted a new concrete landing, sidewalk, apron, and they wanted it stamped. So tore everything out, brought in 7 ton of stone, and formed it up. Had 5 yards of concrete delivered, finished, and stamped. We added some darker gray coloring to the concrete, hit it with some Charcoal release, and went with a Flagstone stamp design. After it set up, came back, pulled the forms, pressure washed, sealed, and saw cut. Had to jump around with the pics a bit on this post. It started raining while I was saw cutting, concrete dust started sticking to the concrete from the rain, never ended up going back to get finished pics after it was done raining.

This homeowner wanted trees removed from around the barn and a few dead on the side of the driveway. Dropped around 15 to 20 trees up against and over hanging the barn. Also dripped two dead pines that were in a cluster of trees next to the driveway. Dropped, cleaned up, and hauled out. Homeowner wants to do more trees next year
