🌳 20 TONS OF AIR — REPAIRED OR REPLACED IN 24 HOURS! ❄️🔥

Family Tree HVAC has been getting it DONE — commercial, residential, replacements, major repairs… whatever gets thrown our way.

One of these jobs was a 10-ton commercial unit serving a daycare that suffered a blown compressor. When a compressor fails badly, the refrigerant system can become contaminated with burnt oil, acid, moisture, and debris. Simply swapping the compressor and calling it finished isn't how we do things.

We performed acid mitigation and a TRIPLE EVACUATION — evacuating, breaking the vacuum, and repeating the process to help remove moisture and contaminants from the system. We also pressure tested the system before putting it back into operation. The goal is simple: give that new compressor a clean system and the best chance at a long service life.

And we weren't finished there.

In the same 24-hour stretch, our crew installed:
• Two 2.5-ton systems
• One 5-ton system
• One commercial compressor
• One high-efficiency blower

That's approximately 20 TONS of heating and cooling capacity repaired or replaced in 24 HOURS.
Most importantly, we were able to spring into action and get the daycare's 10-ton unit cooling again, keeping the building comfortable for the kids and staff.
From residential changeouts to large commercial equipment and complicated service calls, Family Tree HVAC is equipped to handle it.

🔥ANOTHER COMFORT PROBLEM FIXED! ❄️

This homeowner recently had a system installed by another company, but something just wasn’t right.
Their system was undersized, and the ductwork in the attic looked like a plate of spaghetti. Poor duct design = poor airflow, and on a 90° day their house was still sitting at 78° inside.

🌳 Family Tree HVAC came in and did it right:

✅ Performed a Manual J load calculation to properly size the equipment
✅ Performed a Manual D calculation to properly size and design the ductwork
✅ Removed and redid the attic flex duct for proper airflow
✅ Installed a new 2.5-ton RunTru by Trane heat pump
The result?

🥵 Before: 78° inside on a 90° day
🥶 After: 68° inside on a 90° day

The homeowners told us they’re sleeping under THREE BLANKETS now because the house is so cold! 😂❄️

A bigger system isn’t always the answer. Proper sizing and proper airflow are. You can have great equipment, but if the ductwork and design aren’t right, you’ll never get the performance you paid for.

🏢 40 TONS OF COMMERCIAL HVAC — BACK ONLINE 💪

Residential HVAC is only one branch of what we do at Family Tree HVAC.

Our team recently got this 40-TON Trane makeup-air system back up and running for a restaurant in the 502.

A makeup-air unit plays a huge role in a commercial kitchen. When large exhaust hoods are pulling thousands of cubic feet of hot, smoky, grease-laden air out of the building, that air has to be replaced. This unit brings in fresh outdoor air and tempers it—heating or cooling it before supplying it to the building. That helps keep the restaurant comfortable, properly pressurized, and operating the way it was designed.

And 40 tons is BIG. For comparison, the average home may have roughly a 2–4 ton air conditioner. This one system has cooling capacity comparable to roughly 10–20 typical residential systems—about 480,000 BTUs per hour of nominal cooling capacity.

These large commercial systems come with a completely different level of controls, compressors, motors, electrical components, refrigeration circuits, and troubleshooting. When something goes down, you need technicians who understand more than residential equipment.
