Another tile job complete. We typically don’t do new construction, however this longtime client is building a new home. He asked if we would consider doing the 2 tub surrounds. We said yes. We have completed our scope on this bathroom remodel! The original configuration was not practical. We removed the original shower and cabinet and counters. This project came about due to a plumbing leak in a relatively new home. We built a custom 4' by 9' shower with 2 niches, a bench, and pony wall. Our plumber installed 2 shower heads and 2 handhelds with 2 separate mixing valves. We added a tile accent above the bench to match the shower floor and niches. All tile is trimmed with Schluter Quadec and matching inside-outside corners. The bathroom floor is hexagonal tiles, new cabinet with counter, millwork, and paint. Here is another recently completed project. At some point prior to the client purchasing this home, there was a water intrusion issue in the laundry room. The client had engineered floors installed, and the previous installer thought it would be just fine to just cover the soft, water damaged sub-floor. We removed all damaged areas, reconstructed the sub-floor with added support, reinstalled the laminate flooring and all millwork. The challenge? Ensuring that there were no signs of repair after the project was completed.

We just completed this project for a client in Middleton. Complete master bathroom remodel, due to an inwall plumbing leak. Includes demo, new floor, custom tile shower, electrical, vanity, and fixtures. We also installed an accent wall in a bedroom, and tile backsplash in the kitchen. A few modern updates transformed the overall look of this home.

For those following our, MQI Home Improvements, farmhouse remodel, we have finished the outside. Waiting for one door. Our client built the roof overhang on the front, it adds a nice finishing touch. Despite some snowy and 12-degree days, unexpected issues that go along with a remodel, we had a great time doing this project. Next up is interior work.....full bath remodel with heated tile floors, walk in shower, and much more. Stay tuned!
