Job description
As a Water Well Service Technician it is your job to assist the Lead Pump Service Technician. This is an entry-level position designed to train an individual in the various aspects of becoming a Pump Service Technician. You will assist the Lead Technician in doing pump and well service work; work as a two or more person team to perform service tasks.
As a Water Well Service Provider it is your job to:
Assist with the removal and installation of well pumps, understand principal operations of pumps, wells and have the ability to troubleshoot systems
Assist with the set up and spotting of the service vehicle over the well
Assist in the removal and installation of pressure tanks and switches
Perform preventative maintenance on service truck and equipment, and keep service trucks stocked with parts for service work
Assist in installation of underground water lines
Assist in fixing damaged or broken water lines
Follow all safety regulations
Be familiar with the safe and general operation of all equipment used on the job site, troubleshooting any mechanical problems in the field
Fill out paperwork properly, accurately, and in a timely fashion
Understand, select, and work with hand tools
Job Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors
The ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record and dependable transportation
Ability to work 8-10 hour days
Ability to maintain good communication with customers, fellow employees, and manager
Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces
