These downspout drains disappearing back under the original sod. The roof water from this house is now carried away preventing basement intrusion.

Using this method of careful sod cutting, the original lawn is instantly restored leaving no evidence of excavation.

This driveway hasn’t had any work in decades. Instead of just lightly grading it out and adding some new material, it got a complete rebuild to ensure it can stand up to heavy rains and traffic for years to come.

As this week wraps up, it’s a nice time to reflect on what an extraordinarily beautiful place Vermont is to live and work. This week started out with land clearing near a mound system in Charlotte, then moved to grading a cleared section of forest in Lincoln and finished up with a culvert replacement near Lake Iroquois. What a week!

The extra effort to cut and systematically remove/reinstall sod is worth it when the result is an installation that looks like it never happened!

Now these downspouts discharge away from the home and the yard looks as good as it did before we started.
