The new data center is reportedly doubling in size, and officials say they're investing in our local infrastructure. They also say that once it's complete, the facility could use more electricity in a single day than the entire City of New Orleans uses on its hottest day.

🙏 COMMUNITY, WE NEED YOUR HELP 🙏

This is not a normal post for us, and honestly, it is not one we make lightly.

Ms. Garrett is in her 70s and currently has no air conditioning in her home. Her house is already extremely hot, and with temperatures climbing into the triple digits and heat indexes expected to be even higher, this situation has become urgent.

Ms. Garrett has faithfully paid for a home warranty through Choice Home Warranty and has spent over a week fighting to get her repair covered. She has called, appealed, followed every step of the process, and done everything they have asked of her. Unfortunately, she has still been denied assistance for a repair that she believed she was protected against.

💔 Ms. Garrett lives on a fixed income and simply does not have the means to cover this repair on her own.

As the owner of Rooted Heating & Air, I have cut this job down as much as I possibly can and have reduced the cost to essentially cover materials and necessary expenses only.

🎯 Our goal is $2,500 to restore air conditioning to Ms. Garrett's home.

Normally, we do not mix business with situations like this, and asking for help is not something that comes easy. But it is hard to stand by and watch someone suffer through this Louisiana heat, especially after they spent years paying into a company that was supposed to be there for them when they needed help the most.

Monday and Tuesday are expected to bring our first real taste of triple digit temperatures this summer.

And that's just the actual air temperature. With Louisiana humidity doing what Louisiana humidity does best, heat index values could easily climb into the 110° to 115° range.

A quality HVAC installation is about far more than simply replacing equipment. It's about correcting existing issues, improving system performance, and setting the homeowner up for years of reliable comfort.

For this project, the original condenser had reached the end of its service life. Years of overgrown brush, weeds, and accumulated debris had restricted airflow, forcing the system to operate under unnecessary strain. Before the new equipment was installed, the surrounding area was completely cleared to restore the proper airflow every outdoor unit needs to perform efficiently.

The installation also included a reconfigured line set, a brand-new indoor evaporator coil, and a new Bryant condenser. Addressing the entire system—not just the outdoor unit—helps maximize efficiency, improve reliability, and ensure the equipment performs as it was designed.

One detail worth highlighting is the severe corrosion visible around the base of the original condenser. This type of damage is commonly caused by repeated exposure to dog urine. Over time, the corrosive compounds attack the aluminum fins, copper tubing, and metal components of the unit. Happy Father’s Day from Rooted Heating and Air LLC. Today we honor the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who show up every day. The men who work hard, sacrifice quietly, teach by example, and carry responsibilities that many people never see. Being a father is more than a title. It is leadership, patience, protection, guidance, and love. It is planting seeds today that will provide shade for generations tomorrow.

To the dads who are tired but keep going, the dads who put their families before themselves, the dads who pray over their homes and lead with faith, your work matters. The time, effort, and love you pour into your families leave an impact far greater than you may ever know.

People ask me all the time, “Why did you choose the name Rooted?” The answer is simple...because where you are rooted matters.

Rooted Heating and Air LLC is about more than just heating and cooling. It’s a reminder of where our foundation comes from. We are rooted in Christ, rooted in faith, and rooted in the belief that there is something much bigger than ourselves guiding our path.

That doesn’t mean we are perfect Christians. It doesn’t mean we always get everything right or that we are the perfect example of what a Christian should look like. We are human, and we fall short just like everyone else. But our roots are planted in something deeper than our circumstances, our struggles, our successes, or our failures.

As long as we continue walking by faith, trusting God through the good days and the hard days, we believe He will continue to guide this company, allow us to serve our customers, serve our community, and provide for our families.

I know there are some people who see a company talk about faith and immediately think, “They’re just using religion to make money” or “They’re using the name of Jesus for personal gain.” I understand why some people feel that way because unfortunately there have been people who have used faith for the wrong reasons. Another happy customer trusted Rooted Heating and Air LLC, and we are thankful we were able to get their home cool and comfortable again. 🌱❄️

This was not your everyday repair. Their Goodman system suffered a major refrigerant leak that resulted in the system losing its refrigerant charge and eventually led to catastrophic compressor failure, leaving their home without the cooling they needed in this Louisiana heat.

After diagnosing the system, we verified their equipment was still covered under Goodman’s manufacturer parts warranty and immediately went to work getting them taken care of.

Goodman’s manufacturer warranty covers replacement parts for failed components rather than replacing the entire outdoor condenser. Because of this, Rooted Heating and Air rebuilt this condenser from the ground up using the new warranty-covered components provided through the manufacturer.

This system received a brand new compressor, condenser coil, condenser fan motor, fan blade, capacitor, contactor, and electrical components. The unit was completely rewired, rebuilt, installed, properly evacuated, charged, tested, and verified to make sure everything was operating exactly as it should. 💪❄️

We also replaced their old thermostat with a new Pro1 T701 digital thermostat, giving them a bright, easy-to-read display, simple operation, and reliable temperature control without unnecessary complications.

After the rebuild, this system is back up and cooling strong.
